HONOR introduces MagicBook series with Intel’s new processors

Honor has introduced a new version of its MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15. The upgraded versions are equipped with the new 11th generation Intel Core processors and Iris Xe GPU. With that then comes more performance and a better user experience with the upgrade of the models.

Best Features

HONOR is looking to further enhance the user experience and push performance upwards with the upgrade of its MagicBook series. For this purpose, the 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor has been installed in the HONOR MagicBooks. The CPU is supported by the brand new Intel Iris Xe graphics and ensures an intensive user experience. With 16 GB DDR4 dual-channel RAM in the MagicBook 15) or 8 GB DDR4 dual-channel RAM in the MagicBook 14 and a 512 GB memory, even complex and demanding tasks as well as applications are no problem. High speeds when processing pictures, videos and also gameplay are absolutely feasible for the MagicBooks. The components are supported by a supersized fan and two heat pipes. Thus, the heat is efficiently dissipated and the MagicBook can continue to work with normal temperatures.

With an integrated performance mode (Fn+P) for demanding tasks, productivity is increased to a maximum. This can be quite helpful when using complex design software, for example.

Impressive visual experiences

Thanks to the 14-inch Eye Comfort HONOR FullView display, with 100 percent s-RGB color space coverage and the screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent, the MagicBook 14 brings colors and images across lifelike. The fully animated display resolves in 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and also reduces light reflection on the LCD panel, so even direct sunlight is not distracting. Especially users who spend many hours in front of the computer can enjoy an impressive visual experience. In addition, the HONOR MagicBooks are equipped with the new DC dimming technology and are both low-blue-light and flicker-free certified by TÜV Rheinland. In doing so, the screen reduces blue light by 50 percent to protect users’ eyes.

Slim and light

Overall, the MagicBooks shine with a compact design. The 15.9 mm thin MagicBook 14, for example, comes in at just 1.38 kg. The MagicBook 15 comes to a weight of 1.56 kg. The MagicBook’s case is made of aluminum in space gray with an azure blue bevel design for an elegant appearance.

Microsoft Windows 10 is already pre-installed with a free trial version for one month of Microsoft 365. A 56 Wh battery is responsible for the MagicBook’s energy supply, which offers an all-day battery life. The whole thing is supplemented by a 65 W fast charging function. The MagicBook achieves a battery life of 10.5 hours with local 1,080P video playback. The quick charger recharges the battery to 44 percent within 30 min and comes to a weight of just 200 g. If the MagicBook is switched off, other devices, such as smartphones, can also be charged via reverse charging.

Further features

The MagicBooks 14 and 15 radio via Wi-Fi 6 and are equipped with a 2X2 MIMO dual-antenna design. This enables wireless transfer speeds of up to 2400 Mbps. This is about 2.7 times the speed of Wi-Fi 5. On top of that, there is the multi-screen function that allows viewing files on the smartphone screen and on the laptop. This allows users to easily move files back and forth and edit them using the laptop’s keyboard and mouse. Work can also be easily picked up where you left off without having to switch between devices. The MagicBooks are turned on by pressing the power button and integrated fingerprint sensor.

Availability and Prices

The two new HONOR MagicBooks 14 and 15 are available now at a price of 849.90 and 949.90 euros, respectively.
