The Hyundai eXXite Next in detail

Hyundai Motor France and manufacturer Rayvolt are teaming up to release the Hyundai eXXite Next e-bike, according to a press release from the automaker. Together, they are continuing the manufacturer’s eXXite line.

The Next relies on a similarly simple and high-quality design, but also wants to convince above all technically. The new e-bike is available in black or copper. It relies on a flat aluminum frame with a low or high step-in and, according to the manufacturer, is suitable for people between 170 cm and 200 cm tall.

27.5-inch wheels are used, while the eXXite Next – including battery – weighs 25 kg. The permissible total weight is 110 kilograms, so the e-bike is less suitable for heavy people.

A 250-watt motor with a torque of 50 Nm is installed, which allows the e-bike to reach a speed of 25 km/h. Three riding modes and a power booster are available. Three riding modes and a power boost function are available, and the bike is operated with the help of a touchscreen on the handlebars.

The battery, which is integrated into the seat post of the Hyundai eXXite Next, is particularly smart. The saddle can be unlocked with a key to remove the module. The battery supplies 36 volts, which should enable a maximum range of up to 80 kilometers.

The battery is additionally charged by operating the coaster brake, which uses the braking energy to charge the batteries. In conjunction with a special stand, the Hyundai eXXite Next with RegenFit can also be used as an indoor trainer.

Price and availability

The Hyundai eXXite Next e-bike is still scheduled for May 2023 through the Hyundai dealer network. The recommended retail price is €3,490.  The regular eXXite Next is available directly from the manufacturer for around 3,100 euros. Here, another 100 euros in shipping costs are added.
