iPhone 12 Pro: Huge Leak reveals many details

There has probably never been such a large leak in the history of Apple. Not only pictures about the settings of the upcoming iPhone have appeared. A hands-on video was even published. Here a lot of exciting (alleged) information about the new flagship comes to light. The iPhone 12 Pro Max will probably offer a powerful LIDAR sensor. This will bring completely new features in the field of cameras. This includes the possibility of 120 Hz ProMotion recordings.

Many information at one go

It is not unusual for leaks to come to light on upcoming Apple products. However, to the extent that we have experienced it in the last few hours, this should be a novelty. No simple speculations about design or other subtleties were shared. Rather, one could get a detailed insight into the settings of the upcoming flagship. This is especially the iPhone Pro Max, which will probably be the largest of the upcoming smartphones with 6.7 inches. Source of information was the Twitter account of the self-proclaimed “Leaker” Jon Prosser. He shared a hands-on video of the new premium smartphone. Since this was still in the so-called PVT stage, one could get detailed insights into the specs of the iPhone 12 Pro Max. PVT stands for “Production Validation Test”. Here the smartphone is still in a kind of “beta-stadium”. Before everything is declared ready for the market within the PVT, the mass production of a device can start. This special state now makes it possible to look inside the coming smartphone.

Among the highlights were

    • 120 Hz High Refresh Rate
    • Adaptive Fresh Rate
    • LIDAR Sensor
    • Extended slow motion: 4K at 120 fps/ 4K at 240 fps
    • Extension of the night mode
    • Advanced Zoom

Different iPhone 12 Pro Max models possible

Until now, the iPhone Pro Max models only differed in terms of storage space. But Leaker Jon Prosser claims to have found out that there are probably iPhone 12 Pro Max models with and without 120 Hz support. There is a point in the PVT view of the hands-on video that speaks for this. After all, the user had to indicate here which model he is currently using. One with or without 120 Hz? So it remains questionable whether really each of the new Pro Max models will actually support the high refresh rate. But we would be surprised if Apple would make such a difference. What the picture from the settings in the PVT makes clear, however, is that the company is obviously still working at full speed on the 120 Hz mode. It is also questionable whether the normal iPhone 12 Pro model will also support 120 Hz. According to the rumor mill, Apple is said to have had a lot of difficulties here until recently.

Improved Face ID

From the video you can get more information. Apple has obviously improved Face ID even more. This should now work reliably even from a large angle. In the new models, Face ID should also work when the smartphone is lying flat on the table. Accordingly, the technology requires the same amount of space as before. The Notch therefore remains somewhat as large as its predecessor. What has obviously become smaller, however, are the edges of the screen. Since the smartphone in the video was in a so-called “stealth case,” nothing more specific about the design of the upcoming iPhone could be seen. However, it is increasingly assumed that Apple will orient itself on the angular design of the iPhone 4. This would be similar to the new iPad Pros. The camera module on the back has probably grown. The Leaker speaks of a 10 percent larger camera.

Arrangement of the camera leaked?

Not only Jon Prosser has published exciting leases for the upcoming iPhone. Furthermore the Apple expert EverythingApplePro shared exciting news. Together with the Leaker Max Weinbach he shared new information about the camera. Although this is not a video, exciting pictures could be seen anyway. In the context of the analysis the Twitter user Komiya is also mentioned. He shared pictures on Twitter that allegedly show the final arrangement of the main camera.

Information about resolution and fast charging

Furthermore the (allegedly) first pictures of the upcoming product pages of the upcoming flagship have appeared in the meantime. Here you can read more information about the alleged features. This starts with the resolution. For example, the new iPhone 12 Pro Max is supposed to offer a resolution of 2788 x 1284 pixels. Now the upcoming iPhones should finally be able to support a quick charge function. By means of a special fast-charging cable the upcoming iPhone can be charged with 20 watts. Unfortunately, you have to buy the appropriate fast-charging accessories in the form of the matching charger separately. But this was already known and would fit to the sales policy of Apple. The iPhone 12 Pro Max should also support practical wireless charging again.

Available from October

According to the Leaker iAppleTimes, mass production of iPhone 12, 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max should begin in September. While the iPhones 12 and 12 Max should be available from October on, the pro-lovers need a little more patience. The Leaker assumes that the iPhones 12 and 12 Pro will not be available in stores until the end of October or even November. It remains to be seen how much information from the Leaks will finally come true. But in a way Apple has won through the Leaks. After all, the excitement among iPhone fans worldwide is now growing immeasurably.
