Keychron M7: New gaming mouse brings powerful features at a hammer price

With the Keychron M7 Wireless, the manufacturer has introduced a new gaming mouse. It focuses on strong features, a light weight and an unbeatable price.

The Keychron mouse family is growing. Similar to the Keychron M3 Mini, which scored points in our test in March 2024 with strong features at an unbeatable price, the new model also relies on modern features.

The Keychron M7 has an ergonomic design for right-handed users and offers a thumb rest on the left-hand side, where three additional buttons can be found. All buttons are freely customizable in the companion app, and you can switch between DPI levels and polling rates of up to 1,000 Hz on the underside.

The PixArt PMW3395 sensor offers a resolution of 26,000 DPI, which can be adjusted in steps of 100, with a tracking speed of 650 IPS and an acceleration of 50G.

For the main switches, the rodent relies on mechanical Huano Micro Switches, which should withstand 80 million clicks. The lift-off distance can be adjusted between 1.0 mm and 2.0 mm. Teflon and PTFE feet promise excellent gliding properties, while the Keychron M7 is pleasantly light at just 63 grams.

The mouse relies on an 800 mAh battery, which is said to offer a runtime of up to 70 hours. The M7 can be connected either via 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth 5.1.

Price and availability

The Keychron M7 Wireless is available immediately, at least in the USA, on the manufacturer’s website at a price of 49 US dollars. The mouse is not yet listed in Europe, but it can be assumed that it will soon make it across the pond. The manufacturer includes a USB-A and a USB-C dongle as well as a long paracord cable.
