Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3: New tablet with Chrome OS

Another new product that Lenovo presented at Mobile World Congress 2022 is the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 tablet. Google’s Chrome OS is used here, while the tablet can also be used as a laptop replacement thanks to the keyboard cover. The high-resolution 2K display is also exciting.

Features of the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook is actually a tablet. However, in combination with the keyboard cover that can be docked directly onto the case, the Chrome OS-equipped device becomes a genuine notebook replacement.

The hybrid device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2, which is supported by 4 GB of RAM or 8 GB depending on the features, as well as 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. However, this is apparently only connected on the basis of the slower eMMC technology compared to the more expensive SSD.

Compared to the MediaTek Helio P60T octa-core processor, which was still used in the predecessor, the Snapdragon should provide a decent performance increase.

2K resolution

However, the 11-inch display turns out to be exciting, with a comparatively high resolution of 2,048 pixels with a 2K resolution. The panel can also be operated via stylus as an option. There is also a 5-megapixel camera at the front and 8 megapixels at the back – which should at least be sufficient for video calls.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad Duet 3 is supposed to run on battery power for about 12 hours, but the manufacturer does not provide details about the capacity. Charging is done via USB Type-C, and a second Type-C port is available for connecting displays and peripherals.
