Last week, Motorola unveiled the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, an upper mid-range smartphone that will initially be launched in India with strong features. Amazon Germany has now also listed the smartphone and, in details that have since been removed, spoke of a release in a few days and also named a price.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro in detail
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has not yet been officially announced for the global market, but Amazon Germany has already listed the upper mid-range smartphone. The smartphone comes with the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, which the manufacturer provides with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of system memory.
The Edge 50 Pro also features a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 1220p, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged via USB-C with up to 125 watts. Wireless charging is possible with up to 50 watts.
The successor to the Edge 40 Pro is available in a total of three colors: black and purple with a faux leather trim or in moonlight pearl with a smooth finish. The housing is IP68-certified, while the fingerprint reader is integrated into the display.
In terms of cameras, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 13 MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom on the back, as well as a 50 megapixel main camera.
Price and availability
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro launched in India with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB system memory for around 400 euros. Amazon already listed the smartphone with a price of 699 euros, but with 512 GB system memory in Germany and named April 16, 2024 as the release date. However, the information has since been deleted.
