MWC 2019: ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G Presented

Besides his mid-range smartphone Blade V10 ZTE presented his Axon 10 Pro 5G at the Mobile Word Congress (MWC). However, the Chinese network supplier has not yet published most of the technical details at the trade fair.

The smartphone’s equipment suggests a high-end device. However, ZTE has not yet mentioned a price for the Axon 10 Pro 5G. The publication date is also only referred to as the “first half of the year”. One of the fastest smartphone SoCs currently on the market is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, which is equipped with the X50 modem for 5G use. In addition, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory are available.

On a positive note, the smartphone is only 8 mm thick despite the 5G modem. Since 5G reception requires around 35 percent more components than models with 4G reception due to the large antennas, this is unusual. The only question is whether the narrow design will have a negative effect on the 5G transmit and receive power.

The 6.47-inch Full HD+ display has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. Thanks to the slightly rounded corners and the narrow frame, the smartphone with Waterdrop notch still looks relatively compact. The front camera offers 20 megapixel resolution, the triple cam on the back has a main camera with 48 megapixels, a wide-angle lens with 20 megapixels and a telephoto lens with 8 megapixels.
