With the Samsung Galaxy A22 and A22 5G, two new smartphones are launched. Samsung just wants to compete with other manufacturers with the 5G version. Apart from the 5G, there are some differences in Samsung’s two new smartphones here.
Samsung Galaxy A22
The difference in the two smartphones is not only in the 5G. The “simple” A22 has a display size of 6.4 inches and a resolution of 1,600 x 1,080 pixels. The Galaxy A22 measures 159 mm in length, 74 mm in width and 8.4 mm in thickness. The weight is 186 grams. The Samsung Galaxy A22 has a triple camera with a main module that has 48 megapixels. The selfie camera of the A22 comes to 13 megapixels and is thus slightly ahead of the A22 5G. The CPU of the A22 is supported with 4 GB of RAM and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G is slightly larger than the A22 and comes with a display diagonal of 6.6 inches. The resolution of the display is 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The A22 5G is 9 mm thick and has a length of 167 mm and a width of 76 mm. With a weight of 203 g, it is a bit heavier than the version without 5G. The A22 5G also has a triple camera, whereas the selfie camera here is only 8 megapixels. Like the A22, the 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery and 4 GB of RAM. However, the CPU clocks with 0.2 GHz more. Both smartphones have a USB-C port and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as a headphone jack. In addition, both have a fingerprint sensor in the power button and Android 11.
Availability and pricing
Samsung’s new smartphones will hit regular stores before the end of June. In the process, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G with 64 GB should cost 229 euros and with 128 GB of storage 249 euros. The Samsung Galaxy A22 without 5G is 209 Euros for the 64 GB variant and 229 Euros for the 128 GB variant. In terms of color, there is a choice between white, purple and black.
