Differences between the display and the cameras

The OnePlus 7 has a 6.41-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, while the OnePlus 7 Pro has a 6.67-inch display with 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. The display of the OnePlus 7 has thus been taken over one to one from its predecessor. The small drop notch for the camera is also in the same position. With the OnePlus 7 Pro, the front camera is instead integrated in the frame, from which it can be moved out if necessary.

There are also significant differences between the cameras of the two smartphones. The main camera with Sony sensor is identical and offers 48 megapixels resolution, the images are due to pixel binning by default 12 megapixels large. The “normal” OnePlus 7 also only has a 5 megapixel camera for capturing depth information. The Pro comes with a wide range of camera equipment, including a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide angle lens. One looks for a secondary front camera also with the Pro in vain. Both versions only have a Selfie camera with 16 megapixel resolution and display flash.

operating system with three-year update warranty

Both smartphones come with OxygenOS 9.5.2, which is based on the latest Android version. The manufacturer guarantees three years of security updates and two years of updates to new versions of the operating system. Security updates should be made every two months. The update guarantee does not cover the delivery of the first devices, but only in the autumn, when the new T-model of the OnePlus series is launched on the market.
