OnePlus Buds earphones with 30 hours runtime

On July 21, 2020, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer OnePlus will present the OnePlus Buds, its first completely wireless earphones. The One Plus Buds are designed for high-quality and user-friendly audio reproduction. The manufacturer dispensed with all cables in favor of a free sound experience. According to the latest information, the runtime with one battery charge should be up to 30 hours.

What we know about the OnePlus Buds

Three years ago, the company launched its first Bluetooth headphones with the OnePlus Bullets Wireless. Since then, the company has been looking for new ways to enhance the audio experience. The goal is a seamless connection to OnePlus smartphones.

As Pete Lau, the founder and CEO of OnePlus explained, users are looking for the right combination of great sound quality, seamless connectivity, and a product that is easy to use. The OnePlus Buds will deliver just that, he said in the July 13, 2020 press release.

The OnePlus Buds have an ergonomic half-in-ear design so that the earphones can be worn comfortably all day long. The shape has been chosen so that they cannot accidentally come loose and remain firmly in the ear.

30 hours runtime

The development team of the innovative smartphone manufacturer found that its own customers charge their headphones less regularly than smartphones. According to Pete Lau, the OnePlus Buds are designed to address some of these fears that come with unpredictability.

The comfortable wireless earphones are designed for more than seven hours of continuous use and can be recharged three times with the charging case. This gives a total of 30 hours of use before recharging is required. The OnePlus Buds are lightweight at 4.6 grams and the charging case weighs only 36 grams.

The user is said to benefit from a “no-hassle” user experience that works exactly as desired without any limitations. Numerous smartphones are supported and it has been ensured that they work seamlessly with One Plus smartphones. According to Pete Lau, when a One Plus smartphone is in active gaming mode, the earphones have an extremely low latency similar to wired headphones.

According to the press release, the OnePlus Buds will be presented to the public in a livestream on July 21, 2020, together with the new affordable OnePlus North mid-range smartphones.
