Philips 346B1C – 34-inch 100 Hz Curved Monitor Introduced

The Dutch company Philips, which recently provided us with the 49-inch Philips 499P9H (Gold Award) monitor, has now needed another curved monitor on the market. The new Philips 346B1C with a 34-inch screen diagonal is already available for about 550 Euro for a short time after the leek instead of the recommended price of originally 699 Euro.

The curved VA panel of the monitor has a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels. The refresh rate of 100 Hz is not at the level of the current gaming monitor, but should satisfy most gamers anyway. The monitor’s main purpose is office use anyway, for which the monitor is predestined thanks to its docking station realized via USB-C and Gigabit-LAN.

In display port alternative mode, the USB-C port transmits the picture signal of a notebook via a single cable and supplies the device with up to 90 watts of power in parallel. Peripheral devices such as mouse and keyboard can be connected directly to the Philips 346B1C and can be connected when a notebook is connected via USB-C. The Philips 346B1C can be connected to a notebook via a USB-C cable. Four USB-A ports are available for this purpose. Alternatively, thanks to its KVM switch, the monitor can also be used to control two devices. The change takes place via a button directly in the housing.

Unfortunately the stand has no possibility to swivel the monitor vertically. But the height adjustment of 180 mm is excellent. Thanks to the flicker-free W-LED backlight and the optional blue light reduction, working with the Philips 346B1C is particularly easy on the eyes.
