The cat is out of the bag: Sony has finally revealed the release date and price of the PlayStation VR2 VR headset for PlayStation 5. It will go on sale in February 2023. The price will be 599.99 euros.

In August, Sony still vaguely set the release of the PlayStation VR2 for early 2023. Now they published more details on the PlayStation Blog, including the specific launch date and price.

According to the blog, the new VR headset for the PlayStation 5 will be released on February 22, 2023. The PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging dock, designed specifically for the PS VR2 Sense controller, will also be released on the same day.

How expensive will the PlayStation VR2 be? Sony has also finally confirmed the price of the console VR headset. Thus, the PSVR2 comes with an MSRP of 599.99 euros. In addition to the headset, the PSVR2 Sense controller and stereo headphones are also included.

Sony also offers a bundle with the VR game Horizon Call of the Mountain, which has an MSRP of 649.99 Euros. The charging station for the controllers costs 49.99 Euros.

Eleven new PlayStation VR games unveiled

Of course, the PlayStation VR2 also wants to be supplied with games. Fittingly, Sony has officially unveiled eleven new titles that will make use of the new VR headset’s capabilities. They appear in addition to the games that have already been confirmed – including Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners and Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.

PlayStation VR2: Pre-orders starting November 15

Pre-orders of the PlayStation VR2 headset will be available starting November 15 via the PlayStation Direct Store, though pre-order registrations are available now.“Orders for PlayStation VR2 headsets and bundles via direct.playstation.com will ship throughout the week following release,” Sony shares.
