Premium compact smartphone Sony Xperia 5 II introduced

The new compact premium smartphone Sony Xperia 5 II was introduced and has numerous features of the flagship Xperia 1 II, which has been available since February.

Specifications Sony Xperia 5 II

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a 6.1-inch FHD+ HDR OLED display with 120 hertz refresh rate in 21:9 cinema format. Scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 6 provides the world’s first 4K HDR slow-motion video recording function in a smartphone. The CPU is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Octacore processor with 8 GB RAM, which also supports the new, fast wireless standard 5G.

The sampling frequency of 240 Hertz enables a precise and smooth gaming experience with the premium smartphone. The internal flash memory of 128 GB can be expanded with a microSD card. Above all, gamers will get their money’s worth with the Sony Xperia 5 II, as the game optimizer has been revised and annoying notifications can also be deactivated.

The smartphone is one of the few current smartphones that still has a 3.5 mm jack socket, so that you can listen to or play music and charge your smartphone at the same time without an adapter. During intensive gaming, overheating is prevented by the Heat Suppression Power Control. For an optimal gaming experience, a Playstation 4 Dualshock 4 Wireless Controller can be connected to control the game.

camera, speakers and battery

The built-in triple camera with 16 mm super wide angle, 24 mm wide angle, 70 mm telephoto and 12 MP resolution each allows you to take photos and videos in top quality. The autofocus comes from the Alpha series, which runs with 60 bpS real-time tracking and enables super-sharp, balanced continuous shooting.

The real-time tracking technology should prove its advantages especially with fast-moving subjects. The camera has Zeiss optics that have been specially calibrated for the Sony Xperia 5 II. A 3D sound experience is provided by the built-in Sony technologies, including HiRes Audio, HiRes Audio Wireless, DSEE Ultimate and aptX support. The smartphone is unlocked with a fingerprint sensor built into the power button. The battery with its 4,000 milliampere-hour capacity should last for one or two days and is quickly rechargeable.

The Sony Xperia 5 II will be available in stores in time for the pre-Christmas season from the fourth quarter of 2020 in the three colors black, blue and grey for 899 euros.
