QNAP, a leading provider of NAS solutions, has introduced its latest high-end model, the TS-855X-8G. This NAS system stands out from the crowd with its high performance, SSD caching, PCIe slots and 10Gbps connectivity.
Powerful processor and high storage capacity
At the heart of the TS-855X-8G is the Intel Atom C5125, a server-segment processor that offers eight efficiency cores capable of operating at clock speeds up to 2.8 GHz. The system supports up to 128GB of RAM and has 5GB of flash memory for QNAP’s NAS operating system.
Flexible storage options and expansion capabilities
The TS-855X-8G offers six bays for 3.5- and 2.5-inch drives, plus two additional 2.5-inch bays. It also has two M.2 M-key interfaces and two PCIe 3.0 x4 slots that can be used for system expansion.
High-performance network connectivity
On the back of the TS-855X-8G, there are two 2.5Gbps LAN ports and another 10Gbps LAN port. This provides four times the data throughput compared to traditional NAS systems.
Price and Availability
The QNAP TS-855X-8G is already available and priced 1,784 euros without drives.
