The Razer Barracuda headset family includes a total of three models, all of which are said to realize high-end wireless sound. Featuring Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, the Barracuda Pro offers a high-quality audio experience in any environment, ideal for gaming and music lovers who want to enjoy their favorite tunes on the go without distractions from ambient noise.

Thanks to Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, the gaming headset can be connected to two devices at the same time, allowing for quick switching at the touch of a button. For example, you can experience current games on the PC and answer a call with a single button press on the smartphone. All Barracuda models support both Razer HyperSpeed Wireless (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.2.

Chris Mitchell, Head of PC Gaming Division at Razer, reveals, “The Barracuda Pro is the hybrid headset that does it all. Whether it’s your gaming setup at home or your favorite music playlist on the go, the Barracuda Pro combines the uncomplicated comfort of lifestyle headphones with the powerful gaming features you’d expect from a Razer gaming headset, all wrapped up in a sleek premium design.”

Razer Barracuda Pro with powerful features

The top model Barracuda Pro relies, among other things, on newly developed Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose 50-mm drivers, which are supposed to achieve a rich and natural sound due to their biological substance.

The manufacturer also installs an amplifier, the THX Achromatic Audio Amplifier (THX AAATM), which features ultra-low distortion, an improved signal-to-noise ratio, and a wider dynamic range. THX Spatial Audio for virtual surround sound on the PC is of course also supported by the wireless gaming headset.

The adaptive ANC can be set to a total of ten levels on the PC and notebook as well as on mobile devices, or automatically adjusts to the current ambient noise if desired. For clear communication, the Razer Barracuda Pro relies on two integrated beamforming microphones with noise cancellation and comes completely without a microphone boom.Razer Barracuda Pro

The microphone can also be extensively customized via the Razer Synapse software and the Razer Audio app. Here, you have various equalizer presets, three ANC levels and many other setting options at your disposal.

Below that, the manufacturer positions the Razer Barracuda as the mid-range model in the headset lineup. With Razer’s TriForce Titanium 50 mm drivers and THX Spatial Audio, the Barracuda delivers detailed and powerful sound that brings movies and games to life.

Comfort is ensured by the FlowKnit Memory Foam headband and ear cup padding. The Barracuda also features Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless connectivity and an integrated beamforming microphone with noise cancellation to give users a versatile wireless headset that is compatible with multiple devices for up to 40 hours of use on a single charge. For older devices, the Barracuda also supports analog 3.5mm inputs.

The X model, which we already know from last year, also gets a makeover. In addition to Bluetooth, it now supports Razer SmartSwitch Dual Wireless, while the battery life has been doubled to up to 50 hours. With a detachable HyperClear cardioid microphone, 40mm Razer Triforce drivers, and support for 7.1 surround sound, the Barracuda X is the perfect lightweight all-around gaming headset for multiple platforms.
