Razer Basilisk V3: New gaming mouse with 11 programmable buttons available

Peripheral manufacturer Razer is launching a new edition of its popular Basilisk gaming mouse. The Razer Basilisk V3 comes with a whopping 11 programmable buttons, Chroma RGB lighting and a new HyperScroll Tilt Wheel.

New edition with extreme customizability

A lot has happened since the first edition of the Razer Basilisk gaming mouse. In the meantime, the peripheral manufacturer with the snake logo has relaunched the third generation of the mouse and has some exciting innovations in tow compared to the Razer Basilisk Ultimate.

Like its predecessor, the Razer Basilisk V3 comes with a full eleven programmable buttons. New, however, is the innovative and smart Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel. In addition to an automatic mode, there are three additional modes to choose from for the scroll wheel: tactile scrolling, smart reel and free-spin scrolling.

  • Tactile Scroll Mode: For highest precision and noticeable feedback of the mouse wheel, for example to scroll through weapons or skills.
  • Free-Spin Scroll Mode: For smooth and super-fast scrolling – perfect for quickly sifting through content or emulating repetitive game input.
  • Smart Reel Mode: Once activated via Razer Synapse, the mouse wheel automatically switches between tactile mode and free-running mode when you scroll faster.

Additionally, using the Synapse software, “Virtual Acceleration mode” can be activated to further increase scrolling speed, for example, to quickly scroll through long documents.

Thanks to ten easily accessible buttons and a customizable profile change button below the mouse, the mouse can be equipped with versatile functions to, for example, activate the headset’s push-to-talk mode, recall macros and activate secondary functions. Profiles can be conveniently saved, and seamless switching between settings is also possible. Up to five profiles can be stored on the on-board memory, so you can be ready to play anywhere, anytime. In addition, the Basilisk V3 now features 11 Razer Chroma lighting zones and Underglow with 16.8 million colors and countless effects.

Impressive Sensor

In addition, the Basilisk V3 relies on the Razer Focus+ optical sensor, which resolves at up to 26,000 DPI and promises inimitable precision. This was already used in the predecessor, but only with a resolution of 20,000 DPI. The gaming mouse achieves up to 650 inches per second (IPS) and 50 G acceleration.

Its features include asymmetrical cut-off, for example, so users can adjust the lift-off and landing distance according to their own preferences. Razer also installs its in-house second-generation Optical Mouse Switches, which are said to provide precise clicks with an activation of just 0.2 milliseconds and no unintentional double-clicks.

Razer Basilisk V3

The Razer Basilisk V3 comes in at a weight of around 101 grams without the cable and measures 129 mm x 62 mm x 43 mm (L x W x H). It relies on an ergonomic design for right-handed users with molded rubber side grips and connects using the 1.8-meter Speedflex cable.

Price and Availability

The Razer Basilisk V3 is available now for an MSRP of 79.99 euros at Razer.com and select retailers.
