Samsung S4U: New monitors for home office and office presented

Full HD, maximum brightness of 250 cd/m², and multiple connectivity options. The technical details of Samsung’s upcoming S4U series sound promising and should not only provide good performance for working, but also for gaming. We take a look at the recently introduced monitors for the home office and office.

The perfect workhorse

The addition to Samsung’s in-house business monitor family is available in either 24 or 27 inch sizes. In doing so, Samsung has obviously paid meticulous attention to offering a high degree of flexibility. For example, external devices can be connected to the screen in different ways. You should be able to connect a notebook, PC & Co. to the monitor either via DisplayPort or HDMI connection. But that is only a small part of the connection options. In addition, the upcoming S4U series offers a USB-C port, which is not only supposed to be used for image transfer. On top of that, the USB port supplies the device with power up to 65 watts.

Smart and ergonomic design

However, Samsung also wants to bring a great product to the start here optically. The first pictures already look promising in this regard. The S4U features an almost frameless design, which looks very elegant thanks to the slim metal base. However, even though the monitor may be chic, it is still an office device.

Samsung is also aware of this. Therefore, the South Koreans promise an ergonomic design here, which is characterized by many customization options. The monitor can be tilted, rotated and adjusted in height according to whim. The tech company wants to make the user’s eyes as comfortable as possible during image rendering. Thus, an Eye Saver Mode is used, which reduces the amount of blue light in the picture. Thanks to the Flicker Free technology, flickering is also reduced.

Also suitable for gaming

At some point, everyone gets off work. Then many home offices turn into a gaming area. You won’t have to change monitors if Samsung has its way with the S4U series. According to the manufacturer, the 24 or 27 inch screen offers everything you need for a fun little gaming session in the evening. Besides a response time of 5 ms, the refresh rate of 75 Hz and a special game mode are also very good. AMD FreeSync, which is supposed to provide constant frame rates, is also offered here. Of course, the specs cannot keep up with gaming monitors. However, it is certainly sufficient for casual gamers.

Price and Availability

By the way, the S4U is supposed to come with a handy power-saving mode. The Eco Saving Plus technology is supposed to save energy by quite specifically adjusting the screen brightness downwards in dark screen sections. Samsung seems to have a solid monitor for office applications in the pipeline. Those who are interested in the Samsung S4U can get their hands on it starting in December. The smaller version with a diagonal of 24 inches is supposed to start at an RRP of 299.00 Euros, the 27 incher for 349.00 Euros.
