SCHENKER VISION 14: Ultrabook with update to Core i7-11370H and optional RTX 3050 Ti

Schenker has introduced a new edition of the 14-inch small notebook Vision 14. The ultrabook with a 3K display in 16:10 format, magnesium chassis and a weight of just one kilogram was only introduced in June, and the new update to a Core i7-11370H CPU and optional RTX 3050 Ti GPU makes the notebook even more powerful.

Strengthened hardware in the SCHENKER VISION 14

The latest hardware refresh of the SCHENKER VISION 14 promises more performance and an additional equipment variant. While the ultrabook, which was only introduced at the beginning of the summer, has so far only relied on Intel’s Tiger Lake UP3 processors in the form of the Core i7-1165G7 and Core i5-1135G7, there is now a changing of the guard.

In the future, the VISION 14 will offer the faster Tiger Lake H35 CPUs Intel Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H, each with four cores, eight threads and a higher clock rate. Schenker Technologies fully exploits the configurable TDP, so the CPU can permanently work with 40 watts and an all-core clock of around 3.8 GHz in the overboost performance profile.

In addition, two graphics card options are available for the ultrabook for the first time. Intel’s integrated Iris Xe GPUs with 96 (i7-11370H) and 80 (i5-11300H) execution units are still the entry point. As an optional upgrade, Schenker Technologies also offers the model with the Core i7-11370H with NVIDIA’s significantly more powerful, ray-tracing capable GeForce RTX 3050 Ti.

The latter works with a TGP of 50 watts (35 watts plus 15 watts Dynamic Boost 2.0) in an efficiency-tuned version that matches the laptop’s Thin&Light design. In the course of this, SCHENKER also gives the VISION 14 an upgraded cooling solution with liquid metal heat conductive material for the processor, more heat pipes and a second fan.

On the one hand, this is due to the optional GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, but the upgrade also benefits the i7-11370H and i5-11300H-based versions without a dGPU. Due to the stronger cooling system, the overall weight increases slightly from one kilogram before to around 1.1 kilogram now.

Bright 16:10 display with 3K resolution as new standard option

In contrast to the previous Full HD display of the Schenker Vision 14, the current models with Core i7-11370H are only available with the high-resolution configuration variant with 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. The 90 Hz IPS panel achieves a brightness of 380 cd/m2, is pre-calibrated at the factory and covers 99 percent of the sRGB color space. The individual ICC color profiles for each display can be downloaded via the Control Center.

Despite its Thin&Light concept, the refresh of the VISION 14 also remains true to its repair-friendly approach: Instead of impractical, soldered memory components, there are two SO-DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of plugged-in DDR4-3200 RAM as well as two M.2 slots. The primary SSD communicates via four PCIe 4.0 lanes, and a thermal pad improves heat dissipation from the storage drive via the magnesium chassis.

Prices and Availability

The SCHENKER VISION 14 with Tiger Lake H35 CPUs, which can be freely configured at bestware.com, is available now at an entry-level price of 1,249 euros; only models with the optional GeForce RTX 3050 Ti will start shipping in mid-November.

The basic configuration includes Intel’s Core i5-11300H with integrated Xe graphics, 8 GB DDR4-3200, a 250 GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus and a 2,880 x 1,800 pixel IPS display in 16:10 format. Schenker Technologies charges an additional 135 Euros for the faster Core i7-11370H, and an upgrade to the optional NVIDIA GeForce RTD 3050 Ti costs 348 Euros.

In return, the price for the previous Vision 14 drops to 999 euro in the base configuration including Intel Core i5-1135G7 and Full HD display.
