Segway Navimow i series offers AI features

In order to achieve the most accurate result possible, Segway promises extremely precise positioning for its new robotic lawnmowers. The company has developed the corresponding positioning system itself. An RTK chip works together with a POV camera with a 140° field of view. As a result, the system should be able to offer positioning that is accurate down to the centimeter.

Objects in the way should also be recognized and avoided. AI also plays a major role here. Artificial intelligence is intended to further optimize the accuracy of the mapping. For example, lawn edges are reliably detected. If the AI does make a mistake, the app is used again. Here you can view the map and make adjustments yourself if necessary.

You can also let off steam in other ways within the app. Many different settings can be made here. The mowing schedule is of course extremely practical. Here you can specify when the robot should mow your garden. The new series also uses a unique mowing pattern. The smart garden helper mows the area in a zig-zag pattern and changes the angle after completing the path.

This is intended to ensure that every blade of grass is actually caught. If necessary, the Segway Navimow i series should also be able to reach difficult areas. To do this, you should be able to activate the driving limit mode in the app. In this mode, the Segway Navimow i can also drive on footpaths to maintain lawn edges. This is anything but common on the robotic mower market. so that you don’t have to worry about theft, there is anti-theft protection on board.
