Skullcandy presents Rail and Rail ANC: Fully wireless headphones with Tile support

Skullcandy, a well-known manufacturer of audio accessories, has introduced two new models of fully wireless headphones: the Rail and the Rail ANC. Both models feature long battery life and are equipped with Tile technology, which makes it easier for users to find their headphones if they are misplaced. With these new models, Skullcandy expands its range of fully wireless headphones and offers an attractive option for music lovers and tech enthusiasts.

Differences between the models

The main difference between the two models is the presence of active noise cancellation (ANC) on the Rail ANC. The Rail ANC are listed for a price of about 100 euros, while the Rail without ANC are available for about 80 euros. Battery life is up to 42 hours for the Rail and up to 38 hours for the Rail ANC, both with intermediate charges in the included charging case.

Technical specifications and applications

The Rail have 6 millimeter drivers, while the Rail ANC have 12 millimeter drivers. This could result in different playback qualities depending on how the headphones are used. Both models support Bluetooth 5.2 and can be used individually. They also offer a mode in which ambient noise is let through, which is particularly advantageous in road traffic. Furthermore, the headphones can be configured via an app and allow controlling music playback as well as using digital assistants like Alexa via audio commands. It’s even possible to take a photo with a paired smartphone by giving a voice command. These multiple features increase the ease of use and usefulness of the headphones in everyday life.

Tile support for easy discoverability

Both models support Tile, a technology that allows users to easily find their headphones if they are misplaced. This feature, combined with the Rail ANC’s long battery life and active noise cancellation capabilities, makes these headphones an attractive choice. It remains to be seen how these new models will be received by consumers.
