Tesla Cyberbeast Auction: Most powerful Cybertruck without waiting time

The so-called Cyberbeast is the Tesla Cybertruck with the most powerful motorization. Getting your hands on the beast is not only associated with a high purchase price, but also a long waiting period. However, if you have the necessary change and don’t want to wait any longer, you can also get your dream car in a roundabout way. A Cyberbeast is currently being offered for sale in an auction.

A Tesla Cybertruck with 845 hp

As if the standard version of the Cybertruck wasn’t powerful enough, Tesla has gone one better with the Cyberbeast. The power Cybertruck has a total of three motors, relies on all-wheel drive and offers an impressive 845 hp. This catapults the heavy e-pickup from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 2.7 seconds. The range of 515 km is also impressive despite the high power output.

It is therefore all the more understandable that fans of the Cybertruck are flirting with the top version. However, if you want to get your hands on the Cyberbeast, you can expect a long wait. After all, demand is high. An auction now offers a shortcut. This allows buyers to take their place in the long-awaited e-car immediately. But the whole thing is by no means cheap.

Massive increase in value

Experience has shown that used cars can only be sold with a certain amount of depreciation. This is true even if they have only been on the road for a few kilometers. This rule does not really seem to apply to the Cyberbeast. After all, the immediately available vehicle is significantly more expensive than the list price at Tesla itself.

So you pay just under 100,000 US dollars for a brand new Cybertruck in the “Cyberbeast” version. However, shortly after the auction started, the price for the immediately available vehicle was already a proud 230,000 US dollars. Considering the starting bid of 75,000 US dollars, this is truly remarkable.

Incidentally, the auction was initiated by the renowned auction house Sotheby’s with its “Sotheby’s Motorsport” division, which specializes in vehicles. Bearing in mind that the auction is scheduled to continue until the evening of April 9, a further price increase can be expected. At the time of writing (April 04, 2024, 15:40), the highest bid is 231,000 US dollars.

Apparently, Tesla already knew in advance that the Cybertruck would trigger a real hype. This is why the car manufacturer is also relying on an exciting contractual clause when selling its e-trucks. Anyone who resells their Cybertruck within the first year of purchase must pay Tesla a whopping 50,000 US dollars. But even with this “transfer fee”, the sale is still a clear profit for the seller.
