Teufel Motiv Go: BT speaker for almost any location

The sound experts of Teufel have introduced the Teufel Motiv Go, a new addition to their product range. The compact Bluetooth loudspeaker is suitable for indoors and outdoors thanks to IPX5 certification.

Small and practical

With the motif Go, name is the name of the game. The small stereo loudspeaker is not intended as a replacement for the home cinema system. Instead, you can throw the 20 x 11 x 6 cm BT Speaker into practically any backpack and take it with you wherever you go. The low weight of only 900 g avoids back pain on top of that. And the excursion can also take a little longer. Teufel promises music enjoyment of up to 16 hours. Provided you are satisfied with indoor volume. If the battery should weaken once, one can operate the motive Go naturally also without problems by power pack. As it is typical for Teufel, the Motiv Go comes along rather in a simple design. The case of the mobile speaker is made of aluminum. The fact that the small speaker has IPX5 certification is not only interesting for outdoor applications. Thanks to its protection against water jets, it can also be used without hesitation in wet rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen.

The inner values

Despite the small dimensions Teufel seems to have accommodated some things here. Two full-range drivers are supposed to be the basis of the sound reproduction. These are supported by two passive bass diaphragms for the low frequencies. Although the Motiv Go is comparatively small, it should be able to provide real stereo sound. Teufel’s proprietary Dynamore technology, which we already know from other products like the Radio 3sixty, ensures this. The small speaker also wants to offer added value in terms of functionality. Thanks to the built-in microphone you should be able to make hands-free calls. The usual suspects in the form of Apple’s Siri or Android’s Google Assistant can also be addressed in this way. Thus the motive Go is not a genuine smart speaker. Since it is predestined for outdoor use anyway, this should not bother most users.

Multiple sources possible

You can choose how you want the motif Go music to be played. Thus the classical way by 3.5 mm jack cable, but also the modern version via Bluetooth is possible. The Bluetooth connection promises thereby almost loss-free music enjoyment. Finally the motive Go is to support aptX. The motive Go also offers the party mode known from the competitor JBL. So two players can be connected via Bluetooth at the same time.

Price and availability

Those who have the choice are spoilt for choice. At Teufel you can get the mobile speaker in silver and black. One can buy the devil motive Go immediately to a UVP of 250 euro. Due to the still continuing lowering of the value added tax the price sinks to 243.69 Euro.
