1MORE belongs to the Chinese XIAOMI group and has launched many different audio devices on the market in recent years. On March 15, 2022, the new model will be released: “ComfoBuds Mini”. These headphones are said to feature many different operating functions, personalized sound and small compact appearance. In addition, 1MORE advertises a wide variety of ANC modes, which we will also discuss in this review.

Scope of delivery
1More ships the Comfobuds Mini in a relatively plain cardboard box with a magnetic opening feature. The headphones and the case are pictured there, so that you can also immediately get an impression of the inside in the store. The box contains the Comfobuds Mini InEar headphones, the charging case, a total of four different sizes of silicone ear tips (XS,S,M,L), a USB-C charging cable and the user manual with safety instructions.
Design and workmanship
The design of the ComfoBuds Mini is kept simple and compact. The case has been manufactured in an oval shape with a matte finish, which means that this should possibly be cleaned more often. Only the 1MORE logo and an LED are visible. The case is charged via USB-C on the underside. The headphones are small and kept really light with 3.7 g per unit. Otherwise, only the charging contacts, an LED and the 1MORE logo can be seen there. I am very enthusiastic about the quality of both components. Here you can definitely notice that the price is not only due to the good sound, but more about that later.
Comfort
The ComfoBuds Mini by 1MORE are strongly convincing due to their comfortable wearing. For hours, music can be enjoyed without any unpleasant feelings or pain in the ear. Important here is to pay attention to the right size at the silicone ear tips. These influence the wearing comfort and sound quality very strongly. The low weight of the Earbuds and the well-designed shape are crucial for this.
Features and battery life
1MORE relies on sound stability, which is maintained to the full extent even at further distance. Due to the modern Bluetooth 5.2 technology, I got up to 11 meters range in the test without any restrictions. If you want to watch a video or movie on the train, this is also very pleasant, since the delay of the sounds is so minimal that a normal user will not notice it.
The integrated microphone also convinces with clean voice recording quality and fast synchronization. Noises outside are largely muffled by the DNN algorithm, which makes it much more pleasant for the called party to understand someone who is just walking in the big city. Here, 1MORE definitely scores with excellent microphone technology.
The ANC technology offers a wide range of different options with four different modes. On the one hand, there is the “Strong Mode”, which completely separates you from the outside, so that you are fully in your own world. The “Mild Mode”, on the other hand, lets you relax and listen to your music in a café or at the office, while you are still slightly aware of what is happening outside. The “Wind Noise Resistant Mode” is, as the name already says, suitable for dampening strong wind noises. Works very well when jogging, biking, or just walking around on windy days. Lastly, we have the “Transparency Mode”, which is quite similar to the “Mild Mode”. Here, too, it is ensured that you can still hear the important announcements at the airport, for example, without having to press pause. Thus, also rather a slight weakening of the external noise.
The Earbuds are additionally waterproof, so it is no problem to continue enjoying the music even on rainy days.
I could not quite reach the stated battery life. This is declared as 6h at 50% volume without ANC. I came to about 5.5h, which is quite impressive when you consider how small the headphones are. With the case, on the other hand, I actually got +- 10 min to the 24h, which is also a strong performance. Another advantage is the possibility of inductive charging, whereby the case is simply placed on the plate provided for this purpose and the battery can gain a few hours more again.
Operation
Operation is really a breeze. You open the case and press the pairing button on the right side. After that, the right headphone should flash and the ComfoBuds Mini should appear in the list of available Bluetooth devices. Further, 1MORE gives the headphones smart playback mode, so the music playing automatically pauses when you remove a pair of headphones from your ear and resumes when you put them back in. After connecting, the fun can theoretically start.
However, if you want to check out the features like ANC or individualized equalization, you should download the corresponding app. Again, the setup is super simple. You are asked what color the headphones are (white/black) and then the various touch commands are explained. These are very useful, as you can, for example, double-tap any EarBud to answer a call and also hang up. After that, you end up in the main menu, where you have the option to play soothing tones as well as configure a personal equalizer. You can also select the ANC mode that suits you best.
Audio quality
Even the factory settings let you enjoy music to the fullest. High and low tones are reproduced very well, creating a very pleasant sound image. The sound is very clear and there are no distortions, even in the louder range. Those who place a lot of value on very strong bass could possibly come up short here. This is already impressive in itself, but the focus of the ComfoBuds Mini is on the general sound image, so the penetrating bass, as many love it, is somewhat lacking here. People who do not prefer extreme bass will get their money’s worth with the EarBuds.
Using the personal equalizer, the perfect sound image can be created for every individual. During the setup, tones are played over several steps, where one is to decide on a sound image. In this way, an equalizer that is optimally tuned to oneself is provided at the end. I find this feature very useful and am positively surprised by the end result.
The maximum volume exceeds the needs of most end users. However, those who absolutely want to damage their eardrums will not be able to do so with these headphones.
Microphone quality
Two microphones per headphone promise clear audio when recording voice. These block out noise from outside very well, so a pleasantly understandable phone call is possible most of the time. In summary, very solid recording quality with the ComfoBuds Mini.
Conclusion
With the ComfoBuds Mini, the largest proportion of end users get their money’s worth. Stable sound image, top noise suppression and many different settings make the headphones real all-rounders. However, those who prefer the penetrating bass will unfortunately be disappointed here. Fans of the optimally tuned sound image and a stable connection will definitely not regret buying these EarBuds.
