Neat Microphones specializes in the development and distribution of high-quality microphones – which is already suggested by the company’s name. Behind the company are, among others, the founders of Blue Microphones, who are considered pioneers in the field of high-performance USB microphones. Neat Microphones not only targets the gaming market with its products, but also produces for podcasting, audio conferencing and streaming. The company has already announced new products for this year and has about 40 patents and about 70 trademark applications.
Turtle Beach: gaming specialist
Turtle Beach is considered a specialist in gaming accessories and is listed on NASDAQ. With the acquisition of Neat Microphones, the company is now entering the streaming and podcasting market, which opens up new opportunities. Juergen Stark, CEO of the company, spoke of a significant milestone for Turtle Beach. Stark further pointed out that Turtle Beach’s addressable market expands significantly with the acquisition, increasing from $5.1 billion to $7.4 billion. Neat Microphones’ technologies will also be used to enhance Turtle Beach and Roccat products, according to Stark.
Skipper Wise, president of Neat Microphones also sees numerous benefits in the acquisition. He believes that by combining the expertise of the two companies, even better products can be developed. In addition, he pointed to the importance of high-performance microphones, which was particularly evident during the pandemic.
