TUXEDO Atlas S and XL presented as Linux gaming PCs

TUXEDO Computers is primarily known for its Linux-based notebooks and desktop PCs such as the TUXEDO Stellaris 16. The company has now introduced two new gaming PCs that combine an attractive design with high-quality components. The TUXEDO Atlas S is particularly compact, while the TUXEDO Atlas XL features walnut wood and a glass side window.

The TUXEDO Atlas XL in detail

With the TUXEDO Atlas XL, the manufacturer aims to have created an elegant gaming PC suitable for the living room with impressive performance. This is achieved with a 447 mm x 215 mm x 469 mm tower case, whose front section with wooden applications is strongly reminiscent of the Fractal Design North (our test).

The gaming PC from TUXEDO can be configured extensively. Up to 192 GB of RAM, an Intel Core i9-14900K and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX7900 XT are available on request.

The CPU is cooled by an AiO water cooling system with a 240 mm radiator. The unspecified Intel Z790 mainboard already comes with 2.5 Gbit LAN, WI-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

In the basic configuration, the Atlas XL is equipped with 16 GB RAM, an Intel Core i5-13500 and a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD at a price of 1,369.00 euros. According to the manufacturer, production takes around two weeks and the gaming PC comes with a 2-year warranty.

TUXEDO Atlas S: Compact gaming PC with powerful performance

If, on the other hand, you prefer something much more compact, but no less suitable for the living room, the TUXEDO Atlas S is the right choice. Here, too, a case with wooden accents is used, which is apparently a branded version of the Fractal Design Terra.

The specifications would fit, as the Atlas S measures 343 mm x 153 mm x 218 mm and has a volume of 10.4 liters.

Inside, there is an Intel B760 mainboard in mini-ITX format with Wi-Fi 6 and eleven USB ports. The TUXEDO Atlas S is equipped with 16 GB DDR5 RAM, an Intel Core i5-13500 and a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD in the 1,219.00 euro basic configuration.

If desired, however, a Core i9-14900, up to 96 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 or MD Radeon RX 7700 XT can be configured at the top end – but then the 450-watt power supply unit should be replaced by the more powerful 750-watt version.

TUXEDO Atlas S and Atlas XL with TUXEDO OS

The two configurable gaming PCs Atlas S and Atlas XL are based on TUXEDO OS, which is based on the Linux distribution UBUNTU, although other Linux versions can also be configured. Windows 11 Home or Pro (with or without a license) can also be installed for an additional charge.

Both models have the nickname “Gen1 Intel”, which suggests that the manufacturer could also offer AMD variants in the future.
