UltraTRX E2-Terminator: E-fat bike with 200 Nm torque and 156 km range

With the UltraTRX E2-Terminator, the manufacturer from the USA has presented a new e-fat bike that is scheduled for release in fall 2022. It is equipped with a full two 1,450-watt motors and comes with a range of 97 miles, or around 156 kilometers.

The UltraTRX E2 Terminator in detail

The Terminator movies are apparently a good source of inspiration for e-bikes. After the ET.CYCLE T1000 in early July, the sci-fi movies are also used by name in the new UltraTRX E2 Terminator.

However, aside from the fat tires (26′ x 4.5″ in the case of the Terminator), the two e-bikes are quite different from each other. With the new E2-Terminator, the U.S. manufacturer comes up with two electric motors from Bafang, each of which offers an output of 1,450 watts and is intended to supply both the front and rear wheel with power.

Thanks to the dual motor, the fat e-bike can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour (around 64 km/h) and offers a torque of 200 Newton meters. In real-life tests, a range of up to 97 miles, or just under 156 km, should be possible.

This is made possible by up to three batteries, which can be replaced quickly and easily thanks to a solid-state switching system. The first battery is located, quite classically, in the down tube. Another sits above the down tube, the other below the installed luggage carrier.

Off-road capable, with high comfort

With its fat tires and full suspension, the UltraTRX E2-Terminator including camouflage design is of course best suited for open terrain. The frame is made of lightweight and sturdy aluminum, but brings already with only one of three possible batteries a whopping 27.7 kg on the scale.

But the rest of the features also read decidedly high-quality. So there are hydraulic disc brakes with a diameter of 203 mm, an extra-wide 770 mm handlebar, as well as mudguards front and rear.

The fat e-bike is to be delivered 85 percent pre-assembled and offers a permissible maximum weight of around 181 kg. It will be offered in two sizes, 17 inches and 20 inches.

There will even be an optional foldable solar panel to fuel the batteries, which is said to deliver up to 2.76 amps per hour and (on a sunny day) fully charge the UltraTRX E2-Terminator in about five hours.

Price and Availability

The UltraTRX E2-Terminator comes in at an MSRP of $5,995.00, which is truly no bargain. Pre-orders are available with a $50 quantity before the e-bike is scheduled to ship in the fall of 2022. All details can be found on the official website of the manufacturer.
