Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo RGB: The scope of delivery

The scope of delivery is well thought out and comprehensive. In addition to the case itself, the package includes all the necessary assembly materials, which are neatly sorted and packed in a box. This includes screws, cable ties and brackets for securely fastening the components. The graphics card holder included in the scope of delivery is particularly useful and is especially suitable for long and heavy models. A detailed manual is also included, which provides helpful support when assembling the system. The scope of delivery therefore contains everything you need for a smooth start.

External impression

The look of the O11 EVO RGB is dominated by the two large glass panels. These are made of clear, tempered glass and offer an excellent view of the built-in hardware and RGB lighting. Compared to its predecessor, finer frames have been used and the black foil on the front panel has been removed. This brings the components more into focus, making the case look even more open and appealing. In addition, the front pillar can be removed, allowing a seamless view of the hardware without compromising the stability or structure of the O11D EVO RGB. This enhances the minimalist look and allows the inside of the case to stand out even more. The brushed aluminum on the front also catches the eye and further underlines the high-quality look of the case. It gives the design an elegant, modern look that harmonizes perfectly with the glass panels.

The ports are located at the bottom of the case. These include 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB-C 3.1 and an audio port. Due to the placement in the base, the ports are integrated more discreetly and are less conspicuous than on the predecessor model.

After removing the cover, the interior is revealed, which is cleverly equipped with another cover to neatly conceal the cables. At first glance, it is clear that there is sufficient space for SSDs and well thought-out cable management.

A closer look at the frame on the right-hand side shows that the various control elements are located here – also cleverly removed from the direct field of vision. This discreet placement contributes to the minimalist design of the case without compromising functionality.

The airflow theme continues at the rear of the Lian Li O11D EVO RGB with perforated surfaces that ensure sufficient airflow. The vertically arranged power supply bay and the PCI slot panels are located in the lower area. The upper area not only provides space for additional fans, but also access for cable management and a bay for hard disks, which helps to create a clean and efficient system. Two screws are also visible, making it easy to loosen and remove the lid. This practical solution facilitates access to the inside of the case and makes the installation and maintenance of components even easier.

A look at the bottom of the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO RGB reveals a bundled cable set, which is responsible for the power supply and connection of the front connectors. These cables are neatly bundled and attached to the bottom of the case. Although this could be seen as a small cost-saving measure, it is hardly noticeable as the design is clean and is neither conspicuous nor disruptive in everyday use. The base also has a roughly perforated surface that is covered with a fine-mesh dust filter. This can be easily removed and effectively protects the interior from dust deposits.

Interior impression

The interior immediately looks very spacious. Several cable grommets are strategically positioned for the most important slots on the mainboard. These grommets are fitted with rubber sleeves to neatly conceal the cables and ensure a tidy look. Helpful markings and arrows are also embossed on the mainboard tray to make it easier to adapt to different mainboard sizes. A particular highlight is the option to flexibly adjust the installation height of the mainboard – an innovative feature that offers additional individuality.

The mounting options for fans and radiators are clearly visible on the lid, base, rear and vertically on the mainboard tray. When using 120 mm fans, the case offers space for up to 10 fans, which allows a high degree of flexibility when cooling the system.

Behind the magnetically held cover of the right-hand side panel, there is plenty of space for cable management and additional components. The interior is equipped with Velcro cable ties that allow cables to be routed easily and neatly as they are fed through the grommets into the rear chamber. The upper section features two vertically integrated hard disk sleds, which are perforated to ensure efficient heat dissipation.

The open placement of the power supply unit in the base area is a particularly positive feature. This arrangement allows the rigid power cables to be neatly stowed away as required. The power supply unit is supported by a small elevation and screwed to the rear of the case, which provides additional stability.

Processing

From our point of view, the workmanship is thoroughly successful. Both at first and second glance, the casing looks extremely elegant and well thought-out. Made of anodized aluminium, it not only offers a high-quality look, but also excellent stability. The edges are precisely finished and the surfaces are even.

The tempered glass front and side panels also add to the value of the case and provide a clear view of the interior. The mounting materials have proven to be particularly positive, with their good quality workmanship allowing the system to be installed easily and effortlessly.

Accessories

The accessory options for the EVO RGB are versatile. For our test, we took a closer look at the airflow front and the kit for mounting the graphics card vertically.

The airflow front Lian Li Lian Li Front Mesh Kit für O11D EVO RGB - schwarz* comes with two mounting frames that serve as brackets for radiators or additional fans. The frames can be easily screwed to the housing and the front is simply clicked into place. The simple installation considerably expands the cooling options.

Front with Airflow accessories

The mounting kit Lian Li Lian Li O11DE-9X GPU Bracket - schwarz* for vertical graphics card installation is optional, but makes for a particularly impressive look. The bracket is quickly and easily attached to the designated points so that the graphics card is positioned vertically. This brings the GPU more into focus visually and gives the system an elegant, tidy look. Please note, the accessory only allows vertical installation of RTX graphics cards from the 40 series.

Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo RGB: Practical test and assembly

For our practical test, we installed a test system in the O11D Evo RGB and tested it intensively. We installed the following components in the case:

The assembly of the test system was very smooth and uncomplicated overall. Thanks to the spacious interior, the mainboard, processor and RAM could be installed effortlessly. The well-positioned and numerous cable grommets helped to route the cables neatly and guide them into the rear chamber. The cable ties with Velcro fasteners also helped to make the installation process pleasant and frustration-free.

Installing the graphics card and cooler was also easy, as there was enough space for large components. Particularly noteworthy is the generous space for the AiO cooler, which could be mounted both in the lid and vertically without any problems.

Thanks to the open design of the second chamber, the power supply unit was easy to position and the power cables could be stowed away as required. Overall, the well thought-out design of the case made assembly a pleasant and stress-free process.

For our practical test, we chose two everyday scenarios to check the temperature development: idle mode and gaming. We chose Diablo 4 as the test game.

In idle mode, the processor reaches a temperature of 48 °C, while the graphics card is at 52 °C. The fans run rather moderately. The fans run rather moderately. During our gaming session, the fan speeds increase and the temperatures rise to 71 °C for the processor and 78 °C for the graphics card.

These results show that the warm exhaust air is dissipated efficiently and the fresh air flows well into the case. The cooling concept of the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO RGB therefore proves to be effective.

RGB lighting

Two ARGB light strips run along the top and bottom edges of the case, creating an even, customizable lighting effect. The lighting can be controlled either via the I/O panel or conveniently via the mainboard software, allowing numerous colors and effects to be set individually.

Thanks to the placement of the LEDs, the contours of the case are elegantly emphasized and create a visual highlight that sets the hardware perfectly in scene.

The buttons provided for lighting control are labeled and offer the following functions:

  • M: Light mode button: With this button it is possible to choose between the different lighting effects. If the button is held down for 3 seconds, synchronization with the mainboard is switched on or off.
  • C: Color selection button: This button allows you to switch between 11 different colors.
  • B: Brightness button: Here you can choose between 5 brightness levels to adjust the lighting.
