Sapphire Pure AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT comes in Frostpunk 2 design

Frostpunk 2, one of the most eagerly awaited PC games of 2024, will be released on July 25. To celebrate the release of the icy survival game, graphics card manufacturer Sapphire is releasing a special variant of the Sapphire Pure AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card with the look of the game.

Oil, rust and ice play an important role in Forstpunk and its soon-to-be-released sequel. After all, you have to keep your civilization alive in the icy cold of an apocalyptic snowstorm.

Graphics card manufacturer Sapphire has teamed up with developer studio 11 bit studios to release its own Sapphire Pure AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT model in a special Frostpunk 2 edition, which has now been unveiled.

The front of the white-colored GPU is unchanged, but the back features the game logo and a unique design that picks up on the fiery red, rusted look of the carbon generator in Frostpunk 2. The ARGB-illuminated logo also uses the orange tone that characterizes the survival game, although the lighting can of course be adjusted.

Technically, however, nothing has changed in the Frostpunk 2 Edition. It is based on the latest AMD RDNA 3 chipset and is designed for gaming in QHD.

It comes with 54 compute units, 3,456 stream processors and a boost clock of 2,584 MHz, as well as a base clock of 2,226 MHz. 12 GB DDR6 VRAM is available together with 54 MB AMD Infinity Cache memory. The graphics card has two HDMI 2.1a and two DisplayPort 2.1 connections.

Game and other extras included

In addition to the graphics card and packaging in a unique look, the manufacturer includes further extras with the Sapphire Pure AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition. These include the Deluxe Edition of the game worth 74.99 euros.

Exclusively included in the bundle are also three pins in the Frostpunk look, as well as three custom keycaps for the “F”, “P” and “2” keys in white.

Price and availability

The Sapphire Pure AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Frostpunk 2 Edition will be available in stores in July 2024, just in time for the release of the game. The manufacturer does not provide details on the price, but it can be assumed that the special edition will be slightly more expensive than the normal version of the GPU, which currently retails for around 450 euros.
