Acer Predator X32FP and Nitro XV5 monitors introduced

Even though CES 2023 is already over, this does not stop the manufacturer Acer from presenting new products. With the Acer Predator X32FP and the Nitro XV5 series, you can expect new gaming monitors that want to score with strong features at a fair price.

The Acer Predator X32FP in detail

The Acer Predator X32FP relies on a screen diagonal of 31.5 inches or 81.3 cm along with a 4K UHD resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and a refresh rate of 160 Hz. AMD FreeSync Premium and a response time of 0.7 ms underline the monitor’s gaming ambitions.

In addition, the X32FP relies on a 1200 cd/m² bright IPS panel with mini LED lighting in 576 zones for particularly good illumination, which earns it a VESA DisplayHDR1000 certification. The two integrated seven-watt speakers are said to provide good sound, while there are four HDMI 2.1 inputs, a display port, a USB Type-C input with 90W charging power, and a USB hub consisting of four USB 3.0 and one Type B port, as well as an audio output.

The Adobe RGB color space is covered by 99 percent, while the Acer Predator X32FP offers a color accuracy of Delta E <1, making it suitable for photo and video editing.

Thanks to HDMI 2.1, there’s also a full 120 Hz in 4K resolution on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. In addition, a KVM switch is already integrated for swapping peripherals such as the mouse and keyboard without having to move them. The display is adjustable in height, swivels and can be tilted. Technologies such as Flickerless, BlueLightShield, ComfyView and Low Dimming are also supposed to be easy on the eyes.

Acer Nitro XV5

With a UHD resolution of up to 3,840 x 2,160 pixels as well as Delta E<2, the Nitro XV5 monitors score with pin-sharp display and high color fidelity. In addition, there is a refresh rate of 200 Hz and a response time of up to 0.5 ms.

In addition, the Nitro XV5 monitors support AMD FreeSync Premium and can also display games from next-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox X in 4K quality at 120 Hz thanks to HDMI 2.1. The integrated USB Type-C input enables KVM switching and even charges laptop batteries quickly with 65 watts of charging power.

Unfortunately, the press release and homepage of the monitor do not reveal any further technical details. First retailers like Alternate state a brightness of 350 cd/m² for the IPS panel, so they should not offer HDR.

Here, the XV5 series relies on a zero-frame design with particularly narrow edges, while the monitors can tilt, swivel and adjust in height.
