With the AOC 24V5CW, Q27V5CW and CU34V5CW, the manufacturer has officially unveiled three new USB-C monitors in its V5 series. After announcing the series about a month ago, the three new models add USB-C connectivity and an integrated Windows Hello webcam to the lineup.
AOC 24V5CW 24-inch monitor
The smallest of the three new AOC monitors goes by the name AOC 24V5CW. It relies on a screen diagonal of 24 inches, or 23.8 inches to be exact, and is equipped with an IPS panel that resolves in Full HD at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The refresh rate is 75 hertz.
Like all new models, it offers a webcam with a resolution of 2 megapixels including privacy shutter, which also supports facial recognition via Windows Hello. In addition, there are two 5-watt speakers and a USB-C port with 65 watts of PowerDelivery to charge connected devices like notebooks or smartphones.
The design is frameless on three sides, and the stand is particularly slim. The gray-to-grey response time is 4 milliseconds, while Freesync is supported as the synchronization technology. In addition, the AOC 24V5CW covers 118 percent of the sRGB color space and 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The monitor can also be adjusted in height, tilt and swivel, and there is also a pivot function
AOC Q27V5CW: 27-inch monitor
The AOC Q27V5CW turns out to be somewhat larger. It also relies on a matte IPS panel, which is 27 inches in size for it and resolves in QHD with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and gets a maximum brightness of 300 nits. Response time (4 MS GtG) and refresh rate (75 Hz) are identical.
The Windows Hello webcam and USB-C connectivity are also the same, but there are only two 3-watt speakers here. In return, the sRGB color space is covered by 123 percent, whereas DCI-P3 is covered by 98 percent. The ergonomics options are also the same: The 27 incher can be adjusted in height, tilted and swiveled, and the pivot function is also available here.
AOC CU34V5CW: Curved ultrawide monitor
The third in the bunch is the larger AOC CU34V5CW. It relies on a curved VA panel with a curvature of 1500R and a UWQHD resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels including FreeSync. Thanks to the panel technology, it offers a higher contrast ratio of 3000:1 and even a refresh rate of up to 100 Hz.
Again, of course, the webcam is integrated right away, as is a USB-C port with 65 watts of PowerDelivery, while the response time is also 4 ms GtG. AMD FreeSync is also part of the package. In return, the Ultrawide monitor is only height-adjustable, but it offers a Picture-by-Picture mode for displaying content from multiple image sources.
