Asus Introduces New ZenScreen Touch

With the “MB16AMT” version, Asus presents the latest generation of the “ZenScreen Touch”. This is a mobile secondary display for Windows notebooks and Android smartphones. The portable screen is characterized above all by its light weight, its minimal thickness and its suitability for handbags.

It differs from its predecessor by its touch functionality. This innovation goes hand in hand with a considerably increased ease of use, which should certainly please users. In addition, the device is now much better suited as a display for Android smartphones than before. For this purpose, a separate touch app is also available. Android apps can be conveniently controlled via this app. The Android menu buttons are also optional. All in all, almost every function of the smartphone can be controlled via the secondary display.

It is 15.6 inches tall, weighs 900 grams and reaches a thickness of just nine millimeters. This makes it very handy, which is of course a great advantage with a mobile display.

The portable mini screen is connected either via USB-C or micro-HDMI. If it is connected via USB-C, it receives not only the image data but also power via the cable. The integrated battery has a capacity of 7,800 mAh and should last up to four hours.

Little is known about the display itself. Asus speaks of an IPS panel with a brightness of 220 candelas per square meter and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. More information about the price and the start of sales will follow shortly.
