ASUS: New monitors available for creative professionals

ASUS has announced some new monitors. These are the ProArt Display PA329CRV, PA279CRV and PA248CRV. Thanks to the extensive factory calibration, the 24-, 27- and 31.5-inch monitors are said to be suitable for creative professionals, among others.

Focus on color accuracy

ASUS emphasizes that the monitors should be suitable primarily for image and video editing. The suitability is based on the very good values in the area of color accuracy. The front-runner here is the 27-inch PA279CRV. It offers a coverage of the DCI-P3 color space of 99 percent. The same applies to the Adobe RGB color space. But the other two newcomers also offer great values. The PA248CRV covers 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The largest model in the form of the PA329CRV again offers 98 percent accuracy in the DCI-P3 color space. On top of that, the latter is supposed to provide a great overview thanks to its 4K resolution and 31.5-inch screen diagonal.

ASUS focuses on connectivity

That the three monitors feel pudelwohl primarily in the office and home office, the many connections make clear. For example, you get DisplayPort via USB-C here. The port offers 96 watts of Power Delivery, which allows you to charge your notebook with high performance at the same time. You can also use the standard DisplayPort, HDMI ports and a practical USB hub. Ergonomics also play a big role in preventing neck, back and headaches after long workdays. Thus, the flexible stand can be adjusted in tilt, rotation and height and can also be swiveled according to one’s own preferences.

A pivot mode is also possible as a result. This is especially advantageous when editing long documents or source texts. Thanks to the integrated VESA wall mount, it can be attached to the wall or a monitor mount on top of that. Thanks to the chic design, the three new additions promise to be a real enrichment for the workspace. The ProArt displays PA329CRV, PA279CRV and PA248CRV primarily focus on noble restraint. This means, for example, that the base has shrunk by 33 percent compared to its predecessor.

The profile has also become 30 percent slimmer. At its thinnest point, it is said to measure just 8 mm. ASUS apparently not only relies on high-quality, but also sustainable materials. All three models are made of at least 85 percent PCR plastic. On top of that, the manufacturer relies on mercury-free panels. Recyclable paper is used for the packaging. The mode of operation is also based on sustainability. All three devices consume zero watts when switched off, which is not a matter of course. A practical eco mode saves energy on top of that.

Availability and Pricing

ASUS is offering its PA329CRV, PA279CRV, and PA248CRV ProArt displays now. MSRP for the ASUS ProArt PA248CRV is $429.90, for the PA279CRV is $679.90, and for the PA329CRV is $1,029.90.
