ASUS Zenbook Duo OLED (2024) available now

The ASUS Zenbook Duo OLED (2024) is an unusual notebook that goes on sale immediately. The device consists of two high-resolution 14-inch OLED displays, the Bluetooth keyboard is detachable and can therefore also be used outside the casing.

With the ASUS Zenbook Duo OLED (2024), the manufacturer combines two OLED displays, each with a screen diagonal of 14 inches and a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels in 16:10 format. We were able to see for ourselves that the OLED screens are top-notch with the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo test from last year.

They offer a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of 400 cd/m² (550 cd/m² at the peak) and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. Thanks to a 180-degree hinge, the displays can be connected flat to form a unit with a screen diagonal of 19.8 inches.

As there is also a display on the underside, the keyboard, which is connected via Bluetooth, is detachable and can therefore also be used outside the case. The ASUS ScreenXpert software ensures that the notebook can be used vertically or horizontally in notebook, dual screen, desktop or sharing mode.

The manufacturer includes a stylus for input on the two touchscreens with the 1.65 kg notebook. The Zenbook is also made from recycled materials and should be extremely robust thanks to certification in accordance with US military standards. A built-in kickstand also allows it to be set up at a ^40°-70° height-adjustable viewing angle.

Modern features in the Zenbook Duo OLED

The ASUS Zenbook Duo OLED (2024) combines the two displays with modern equipment. This includes, for example, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H with clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz and a dedicated AI chip, which ASUS provides with 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Wi-Fi6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are included as wireless standards, and microphones and speakers with Smart Amp technology are also installed. The battery has a capacity of 75 watt hours and is said to achieve a runtime of up to 13 hours. Thanks to Fast Charge, it can be charged to 60 percent in 49 minutes.

In terms of connections, the Zenbook Duo OLED combines two Thunderbolt 4 ports including DisplayPort and PowerDelivery with HDMI 2.1, one 3.5 mm combo port and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port. The FHD webcam also allows biometric login via Windows Hello.
