ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED available now

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED notebook was one of the highlights of this year’s CES in January. As the manufacturer announces, the notebook is now available in stores. It relies on an exciting combination of 4K OLED main display and ASUS ScreenPad Plus.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED at a glance

The Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED’s nearly bezel-less 4K main display measures 15.6 inches and maximizes screen real estate for a particularly immersive viewing experience with its 93 percent screen-to-body ratio. With a brightness of 440 nits and a peak of 550 nits, a strong contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, the OLED touchscreen makes colors appear especially lifelike and also delivers rich blacks and bright whites. In addition, the Zenbook features PANTONE validation, which promises high color accuracy.

For an even larger screen area, the Zenbook Pro Duo 15 features the ScreenPad Plus. The 4K IPS-level secondary display is also equipped with a touch function for an agile workflow. It also works almost seamlessly with the main display and achieves 100 percent of the sRGB color space. Automatically angling the ScreenPad Plus 9.5 degrees when opening the Zenbook reduces reflections for better readability and comfortable multitasking.

Thanks to new apps as well as smart drag & drop, interaction between the main and secondary display is now even faster, smarter and more intuitive. Windows located on the ScreenPad Plus are directly adjusted to the size of the secondary display. Alternatively, content can also be placed over the entire screen and ScreenPad Plus area, for example to display particularly large Excel spreadsheets or long websites while browsing.

CPU and working memory

The ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED also has a lot to offer under the hood. The notebook is powered by an Intel Core i9-12900H processor with 14 cores and 20 threads, along with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU and 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Furthermore, the device is equipped with a 1 TB PCIe-SSD and thus offers a large as well as fast internal storage. The ErgoLift hinge, the lifting of the secondary display and the optimized cooling system enable long-lasting performance for comfortable and smooth work.

Battery life is said to be up to 8 hours, according to the manufacturer. For connecting to peripherals, the Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED has a wide variety of ports. Among them are two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports that support fast data transfers as well as Power Delivery and DisplayPort, plus an HDMI 2.1 port and an audio combo port.
