After various gaming notebooks like the ROG Strix G17 and ROG Strix SCART 17, ASUS has now introduced a whole series of new ultrabooks. Among them is the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED, which is said to be the thinnest 13.3-inch OLED notebook in the world.
The ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED in detail
“The new ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is the thinnest 13.3-inch notebook in the world with a 1cm profile and weighs just 1kg,” the press release states. The manufacturer does not provide an insane amount of details so far, but reveals that the parts have turned out 25-30 percent thinner compared to the predecessor.
ASUS installs Intel Core i7 processors of the 13th generation, up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM and a PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD of up to 1 TB. The ASUS Lumina OLED display in 16:10 format with 2.8K resolution (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) covers the DCI-P3 factory space to full 100 percent and reaches a peak brightness of 550 nits.
The S 13 is made from recycled metals and plastics. An IR webcam and 3D camera, speakers with Harman/Kardon tuning and an especially large ErgoSense TouchPad are offered. In terms of ports, two Thunderbolt 4, one USB Type A, one 3.5 mm jack and one HDMI port can be found on the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED.
ASUS Zenbook 15 OLED (UM3504): A bit bigger, but hardly heavier
With a screen diagonal of 15.6 inches, the 1.4 kg light and 14.9 mm thin ASUS Zenbook 15 OLED (UM3504) comes with a metal chassis. Here, the manufacturer relies on an AMD CPU in the form of the AMD Ryzen 7 7735U processor, up to 32 GB of RAM storage capacity and an up to 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The 15.6-inch notebook with AMD Radeon graphics and a 2.8K OLED NanoEdge display in 16:9 aspect ratio is both Pantone validated and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. Instead of Thunderbolt 4, there is USB4. In addition, there is one USB 3-2 Type-C, one USB 3.2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1 and one 3.5 mm jack.

The S 15 comes in 15 inches, the S 14 in 14 inches – both notebooks are available with a high-resolution 2.8K OLED display, with 120Hz, 0.2ms response time and 600 (S 15) or 550 nits (S 14) peak brightness.
