Computex 2023: LIAN LI unveils new product prototypes

LIAN LI, which is primarily known for its cases, also presented numerous new products at this year’s Computex. These are not market-ready developments, but prototypes and concepts. The Taiwanese company focuses on PC cases as usual, but also expands its portfolio with three water cooling systems, two fans and a standing desk.

Four new cases

With the O11D EVO XL, the O11 VISION, the O11D EVO RGB and the SUP 01 Concept Case, LIAN LI has presented four new PC cases at once.

O11D EVO XL

The O11D EVO XL aims to impress with its modularity and particularly generous amount of space. The eATX case offers space for the latest high-end hardware and can also be used as a reverse case. The GPU can be installed standing up next to the motherboard or standing upside down – in both regular and reverse setups. Meanwhile, the motherboard tray can be adjusted in height to allow for three different cooler configurations. Thus, up to three 420 mm radiators can be mounted here at the same time. It should also be emphasized that the front left support column is removable, so that a clear view of the interior can be ensured.

O11 VISION

The O11 VISION is the result of a collaboration with PCMR and sees itself as a further development of the O11D. LIAN LI claims to have incorporated feedback from customers in the development. The most prominent feature of the case is its three glass sides, which provide a particularly extensive view of the PC’s components inside. All of this is enhanced by a mirror coating that provides special optical effects. The mainboard tray of the O11 VISION is also adjustable to create more or less space for cooling components, depending on requirements.

O11D EVO RGB

The O11D EVO RGB features two LED strips that wrap around the lid and bottom of the case. Just like the O11D EVO XL, the front left support column is removable for optical reasons. The case, which is primarily designed for aesthetics, also scores points with an improved cable management system as well as the option to mount fans in the front.

SUP 01 Concept Case

Also new is the SUP 01, which is designed as a vertical case. The case can score points primarily with optimized cooling. A slim motherboard chamber, a GPU installed upright behind a mesh panel and a separate fan and radiator chamber on the right side of the case create a unique airflow that supplies cooling systems and graphics card in one. Just like the O11D EVO RGB, the SUP 01 is also equipped with three glass side panels. An LED strip and a mirror are also used here.

Four water cooling systems

In addition to the four cases, LIAN LI also unveiled three concepts for new water cooling systems. These are the GALAHAD II TRINITY Series, which includes three all-in-one solutions, and the GALAHAD II LCD.

All three products in the Trinity Series are designed to combine convenience and sophisticated design. As such, they feature interchangeable pump block caps as well as 45-degree swivel connections on the radiator for easy hose alignment. All but one of the three Trinity products are planned in both 240- and 360-mm versions. All three are further equipped with pre-installed fans, with one using RGB fans and one using LCD fans. The three products of the Trinity series are scheduled to hit the market in June.

The GALAHAD II LCD water cooling system is quite different from the Trinity products. For instance, it features a 2.88-inch LCD display that resolves at 480 x 480 pixels and is located on the top of the pump. Meanwhile, on the side of the pump are two aluminum caps with diffused LED lighting. MP4 files can be played through the LCD screen. An internal memory of two GB is available for this purpose.

Two new fans

LIAN LI has also unveiled two new fans. The UNI FAN 2nd Gen. TL sees itself as a successor to the many products in the UNI FAN series, from which it differs primarily in its lighting and blade design. At the edge, the fan is equipped with an Infinity mirror, which provides impressive visual effects. It also boasts LCP blades, which are particularly stable and allow minimizing the gap between them and the motor. The features of the UNI FAN 2nd Gn. TL is rounded off by the possibility of dividing the fan into four zones via L-Connect, which can be separately illuminated and their speed regulated.

In addition, LIAN LI has developed with the UNI FAN 2nd Gen. TL LCD, an LCD version of the presented fan. According to the manufacturer, this is the first PC fan with a customizable LCD display. This can be controlled via L-Connect and supports MP4 files as well as GIFs and image files. Furthermore, it can be used to display system information. It also differs from the non-LCD version in that it has liquid crystal polymer blades and a liquid-bearing motor that supports speeds from 300 to 1800 rpm.

KD-07F standing desk

Rounding out the portfolio of new prototypes and concepts is the DK-07F standing desk. Like the DK-O5F model, the new DK-07F is equipped with an automatic adjustment system as well as a glass top that can be made transparent or opaque at the touch of a button. However, the glass top does not cover the entire table, but only its center. The sides of the tabletop are made of aluminum. The standing desk is also equipped with a drawer with push-to-release function, a cooled drink holder and a USB extension hub. The cooling of the drink is ensured by several radiators or fans. In addition, there is a monitor arm.
