Amazon announces that the new eero Pro 6 Wi-Fi mesh system is now available for order. It relies on the new Wi-Fi 6 standard, which enables significantly faster transmission speeds, higher performance and better coverage for simultaneously connected devices compared to Wi-Fi 5. Using the built-in Zigbee hub, eero Pro 6 connects compatible devices directly on the network, eliminating the need for a separate smart home hub.
Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Router
The eero Pro 6 is a powerful tri-band mesh Wi-Fi 6 router that comes equipped with two Ethernet ports. It is ideal for homes with gigabit Internet connections and covers a range of up to 190 m².
At the same time, the eero Pro 6 is also included as a set of 3, which is composed of three individual eero Pro 6 routers that can be connected together wired or wirelessly to cover up to 560 m². One router is capable of providing fast and reliable WLAN to more than 75 devices simultaneously. All eero devices use TrueMesh technology to intelligently route network traffic, helping to reduce congestion, buffering and dropped connections.
eero Pro 6 works with your existing ISP and is compatible with all eero generations. This makes it easy to expand or upgrade your own network to fit your home’s circumstances and requirements. Setting up the eero Pro 6 system using the eero app takes just a few minutes.
More convenience for Amazon customers
Once the eero Pro 6 system is ready to go, users can also connect their compatible smart home devices to the Wi-Fi network in just a few steps, thanks to Amazon’s frustration-free setup. Simply link the eero account to the Amazon account and all devices purchased directly through the Amazon account can be connected. The connection is maintained even if you change the network name or password.
With the integrated Zigbee hub, eero Pro 6 eliminates the need for additional smart home hubs. This allows various Zigbee devices such as smart lamps, power sockets, thermostats and other compatible devices to be connected directly to the eero network. The eero app makes it quick and easy to manage the network or share it with guests, even while on the go.
With the eero Skill for Alexa, users who have linked their eero system to their Amazon account can use voice control with an Alexa-enabled device or the Alexa app to momentarily pause the internet connection, retrieve a phone, or disable the LED light on eero devices.
eero is constantly working in the background to help keep the network secure. It also completely eliminates the need to manually search for and install security updates. There is also the option to subscribe to eero Secure, which provides an additional layer of security for the home network. eero Secure includes parental controls with a secure search and content filters for social media, gaming, streaming or non-age-appropriate content. Advanced online security features help prevent access to malicious websites, including malware, spyware, botnets and phishing sites. The ad blocker prevents a variety of trackers on the web, and with insights into data usage, families can manage their online time.
Even more additional security is provided by the eero Secure+ subscription, which also includes the three security apps 1Password (password management), Malwarebytes (malware protection) and Encrypt.me (VPN).
