Foldable display: the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold can be pre-ordered

Fans of the Lenovo brand had to wait a little longer than originally expected for the PC with the foldable display. But: from now on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold can be pre-ordered.

But what actually makes the new model so special? And for whom is it particularly well suited? One thing is for sure: if you get the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, you’ll be breaking new ground in terms of equipment.

The first PC of its kind

A PC like the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold has never been seen before. Perhaps it is the start of a new era? The ThinkPad X1 series has been around for quite some time. The “Fold” in the series is new and is aimed at anyone looking for innovative solutions that increase user comfort and take up less space – in a briefcase, for example.

However, anyone who has followed the developments surrounding the new Think Pad model also knows that its release was actually planned for summer 2020. But now the time has finally come.

But it will still take some time before the first customers can hold the model in their hands. Because: the pad can currently only be pre-ordered. Delivery will then take place at the end of October.

Why can the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold only be pre-ordered now?

It took a little time for the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold to appear exactly as the manufacturer intended. Among other things, the design and materials were tinkered with. Also with regard to the user comfort, a lot has been done.

The price for the new model starts at around 2,800 euros on the German market. The package includes the foldable screen in 4:3 design and the Lakefield hybrid CPUs from Intel.

For whom is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold suitable?

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold should be especially appealing to users who are excited about new, innovative designs and features. Those who need a device that offers a large operating and user surface – for its basic dimensions – will certainly find the right “partner” in this model.  Due to the fact that the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first PC of its kind, it is of course difficult to compare prices here. However, a look at the technical data suggests that the price-performance ratio should also be convincing.
