Gamescom 2019: Blizzard Entertainment Will Not Be There
Blizzard Entertainment, game developer from the USA and responsible for titles such as World of Warcraft, Diablo or Overwatch, will surprisingly not be represented at Gamescom this year. The company announced the decision in a brief press statement.
As a reason for the absence, Blizzard Entertainment states that it will concentrate more on developing its own games and new products this year. It was also announced that absence would be an exception.
How Gamescom will fill Blizzard Entertainment’s space is still unclear. The US-American game developer has always been represented with a very large stand with several game stations. It remains to be seen whether Gamescom will be able to present an adequate replacement.
However, BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment’s in-house event, will take place in Anaheim this year as usual.
