Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD realizes 7,300 MB/s via PCIe 4.0

With the Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD, the manufacturer has introduced a new PCIe 4.0 SSD that achieves speeds of up to 7,300 MB/s in sequential reading. This surpasses most of the competitors once again, which usually get up to 7,000 MB/s.

Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD: High speed thanks to new 3D TLC NAND

An outstanding PCIe 4.0 controller with advanced 3D-TLC NAND flash provides impressive speed for the Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD. Because while competitors with PCIe 4.0 connectivity, such as the Corsair MP600 Pro NH usually reach 7,000 MB/s when reading, the new AORUS model achieves a good bit more.

A Samsung 990 Pro is even faster, but the offered speed is no less impressive. The AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD with M.2 2280 interface is available with storage sizes of 2 TB and 1 TB. The SSD and the heatsink are packaged separately, which should offer more flexibility in the choice of cooling.

The AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD uses the Phison E18 8-channel controller. In addition, there is an extremely fast 3D-TLC NAND flash and SLC cache design, which exploits all the advantages of PCIe 4.0. In practice, up to 7,300 MB/s read and up to 6,850 MB/s write are possible.

With the multi-core architecture of the E18 controller, the AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD not only enhances AI multitasking functions, but is also said to provide improved performance for demanding gaming or content creation tasks.

Effective cooling, even in the PlayStation 5

The built-in heat sink on the Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD ensures that the SSD can reach its full potential even under full load. Thanks to the removable heatsink, you can also use the motherboard’s solution if desired or integrate the SSD into Sony’s latest console, PlayStation 5. The AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD supports all motherboards with PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 interface.

Pricing and Availability

Details on the pricing and availability of the Gigabyte AORUS Gen4 7300 SSD are currently still pending. At least the official product website provides more details.
