HyperX Armada 25 and Armada 27: New gaming monitors unveiled

HyperX, the gaming peripherals division of HP Inc, has unveiled two brand new gaming monitors just in time for gamescom 2022. The two models offer higher resolution for a more immersive gaming experience and are compatible1 with NVIDIA G-SYNC. In addition to the gaming monitor, the all-in-one package includes the HyperX Armada mount with an ergonomic arm compatible with all HyperX monitors and most displays with VESA 75mm and 100mm patterns, and a tabletop mount.

The HyperX Armada 25 in detail

The smaller of the two monitors goes by the name HyperX Armada 25 and relies on a 24.5-inch matte IPS panel with a Full HD resolution and a fast 240 Hz response time. The display gets a maximum of 400 nits brightness and is Nvidia G-Sync compatible.

Offered is a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and a response time of 1 ms (gray to gray) in overdrive mode. The sRGB color space is covered by 99 percent, and the maximum color depth is 8 bits. In terms of connections, the Armada 25 makes do with one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports.

HyperX Armada 27: Bigger and with higher resolution

The HyperX Armada 27, on the other hand, comes with a screen diagonal of 27 inches and resolves higher in QHD with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels than the smaller model. In return, it “only” offers a refresh rate of 165 hertz. It is also Nvidia G-Sync compatible and shares most of the specifications with the Armada 25, except that it also has VESA Display HDR 400 certification and allows local dimming of the image.

According to the manufacturer, the 27 covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and shares ports with its sibling. The HyperX Armada 25 and Armada 27 gaming monitors each come with an ergonomic monitor arm and desk mount. The arm can be extended and retracted for comfortable, ergonomic viewing.

The monitors also allow for easy setup with two mounting methods (C-clamp or eyelet) and a quick release system that allows HyperX monitors to be attached and detached with just one click. Additionally, the HyperX Armada add-on mount can be purchased separately and can mount up to four monitors (up to 25 inches) or two monitors (up to 27 inches) at a time.

Prices and Availability

The HyperX Armada 25 and Armada 27 gaming monitors are expected to be available in September 2022 through HyperX’s network of retailers and e-tailers. The HyperX Armada 25 carries an MSRP of $549.99, while the Armada 27 hits the market with an MSRP of $599.99.

You can probably secure the HyperX Armada mount for €149.99 starting in September, while the add-on mount is priced at €99.99. The official product website for the Armada series should provide more details shortly.
