According to unconfirmed rumors, Apple is preparing the launch of a new, affordable iPhone SE. The iPhone SE 3 could be unlocked via Touch ID in the power button and be released in spring 2022. However, the design revolution is apparently still a long time coming.
New rumors about the iPhone SE 3
About the fact that Apple will still release the iPhone SE 3 in the spring of 2022, analysts and leakers have been in agreement for some time. A 5G support and the current A15 chip of the Californians are also considered to be set.
On the short message service Twitter, the well-known leaker Dylan once again addressed the previous rumors and confirmed that Apple would once again stick to the familiar design based on the iPhone 3. A truly redesigned iPhone SE in the look of the XR/11 is said to have been postponed once again. The new model is not expected to launch until 2024, according to the leaker.
However, the iPhone SE 3 this year is said to have a Touch ID sensor integrated in the side power button, similar to the current iPad Air. The design is said to be the same as the 2020 model, while the model lineup is said to pause in 2023 before an iPhone SE 4 with a fresh look a year later.
iPhone SE 3: unveiling in March or April
Meanwhile, journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg and some colleagues assume that Apple will unveil the iPhone SE 3 at an event in March or April 2022. That would fit, after all, the iPhone SE 2 was unveiled in April 2020. In addition to 5G connectivity and the new, faster processor, the budget iPhone is also supposed to have an improved camera.
