Jackery Solar Generator 1500 Pro: New power station on sale

Attention friends of mobile energy storage: With the Jackery Solar Generator 1500 Pro, the manufacturer promises a “sustainable powerhouse with a highly efficient solar module”. A new star in the sky of the increasingly popular power stations?

Jackery Solargenerator 1500 Pro: New addition to the Pro line

That Jackery builds really good powerstations, we could already verify ourselves in various tests. We particularly liked the Jackery Explorer 1000 Pro (test). At CES 2023, the US manufacturer announced new additions to the Pro series. The Jackery 1500 Pro solar generator was also part of the lineup. This is to be used once again as a practical power supplier, primarily in the outdoor area. The set consists of the Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro power station and the foldable SolarSaga 200 W solar panel. So you can charge the mobile energy storage without external power supply only with solar energy.

The power station offers a capacity of 1,512 Wh and is said to be able to provide a continuous output power of a whopping 1,800 watts, according to Jackery. With that, the Pro 1500 can probably also be used on the construction site to supply somewhat heavier devices with power. The ultra-charging system sounds particularly exciting. This is supposed to ensure that the large battery is fully recharged within just two hours via the wall socket. However, the power station is also supposed to enable a similarly short charging time via solar energy alone. According to the manufacturer, this requires a total of six Jackery SolarSaga 200 W solar panels.

Jackery Solar Generator 1500 Pro: Powerhouse with Resilience

The design of the Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro alone already makes it clear that this is a power station that can take a lot. Thus, the manufacturer relies on a fireproof and shockproof design here. Jackery also emphasizes the new cooling system, which is supposed to use a completely new chip technology. Real-time monitoring is supposed to ensure that the heat generated is dissipated almost 30 percent better than in the older models.

The only pity is that the US manufacturer relies on lithium-ion technology and once again gives modern, durable and safe LiFePO4 technology the boot. However, the battery management is supposed to provide safety. There are probably 12 protection functions in this, which are supposed to protect the power station from exceptional situations like overcurrent, short-circuit, deep discharge, overload, overvoltage and overheating.

A total of seven ports

In terms of power, the Jackery Explorer 1500 Pro scores quite impressive numbers on the spec sheet. In addition to the continuous power of 1800 watts, the power station is probably also capable of a temporary peak power of 3600 watts. Of course, such a power package also brings a corresponding weight to the scales. The 38.4 x 26.9 x 30.75 cm Powerstation weighs a proud 17 kg.

Considering the battery capacity, however, these are still quite compact dimensions. Besides the performance, the connectivity is of course also important for a mobile energy storage device. On the front, there are 2x USB-A (Quick Charge 3.0), 2x USB-C (PD up to 100 W), 1x 12-volt socket and 2x Schuko sockets. There is also a practical flashlight here. On the back, in turn, are the inputs for AC and DC for charging the power station.
