Joieem Ebike-X: E-bike with special design

Joieem has presented the Ebike-X, an e-bike with a very special design. Equipped exclusively with a top tube that also features a light band, it stands out from the crowd of electrically powered bikes. A Kickstarter campaign has been launched.

Special frame with light band

The design of Joieem’s Ebike-X is particularly striking. For example, the bike’s aluminum frame is reminiscent of a classic diamond frame, but lacks the down tube. This ultimately makes for a very sporty and dynamic appearance. Particularly noteworthy, however, is the light band with which the top tube of the frame is equipped. This circumferential light band is a novelty in the e-bike market.

The tube also houses the bike’s removable battery, which has a capacity of 360 Wh and is thus supposed to ensure a range of up to 100 kilometers. The e-bike is powered by a 250 W motor that achieves a torque of 40 Nm and provides electric pedal assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. Power transmission is via a belt drive. The power is transmitted via a belt.

Other features of the Ebike-X from Joieem include support for Bluetooth, NFC, 4G and GPS, an anti-theft device and a display integrated into the handlebars. With all the equipment, the bike has a net weight of 24 kilograms. The maximum weight is specified by the manufacturer with 150 kilograms.

Price and availability

The production of the e-bike is financed by a Kickstarter campaign. Those willing to take the usual risks when buying through the platform can benefit from a huge initial discount of 45 percent. The bike will then be available for 1,100 euros. Shipping is planned for August of the current year.
