Lenovo’s 11-inch mid-range tablet Tab P11 5G uses the new mobile standard 5G and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G. The rest of the technical specs are also quite impressive.
2K IPS display with 60 Hz
Lenovo relaunches the well-known Tab P11 (from 209.00 Euros at Amazon) with 5G mobile standard. But the built-in technology is also overhauled. The 11-inch IPS display has a 2K resolution (2,000 x 1,200 pixels) and a frame rate of 60 Hz. The display edges are also relatively thick in the new version, so “only” 85 percent of the tablet’s front is available for the display, which achieves a maximum brightness of 400 nits.
The Tab P11 5G uses the new, up to 2.2 GHz fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G instead of the Snapdragon 662 in the current model, including an integrated 5G modem. Depending on the version, the new tablet is offered with 6 or 8 GB of working memory and 128 or 256 GB of system storage, which can be expanded by up to 1 TB via a microSD memory card.
WiFi 5 (although the tablet is supposed to be “WiFi 6 ready”), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS are also on board. Unfortunately, NFC is not available. The built-in 7,700 mAh battery can be charged with a maximum of 20 watts and should allow 12 hours of video streaming or 14 hours of web browsing, according to Lenovo.
An 8-megapixel selfie camera is installed on the front, while a 13-megapixel main camera including autofocus and flash is used on the back. The sound of the Lenovo Tab P11 5G comes from four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos support. With a weight of around 520g and a size of 258 x 163 x 7.9 mm, the tablet also turns out relatively compact.
Price and availability
Lenovo offers the Tab P11 5G in three color variants: Storm Grey, Moon White and Modernist Teal are available. It is scheduled to go on sale at the end of 2021, the MSRP is 499.00 Euros.
