New Teamgroup SSDs in Asus TUF Gaming Alliance design introduced

Teamgroup has introduced new SSDs in the design of the TUF Gaming Alliance in cooperation with Asus. Owners of an Asus motherboard with TUF support can thus integrate storage solutions into their existing design and ensure a uniform appearance of their gaming computer.

All 2.5-inch models in the new SSD series feature addressable RGB LEDs that can be controlled via ASUS Aura-Sync. It is thus possible to define the colour and a number of effects via the mainboard. In addition to the classic SSDs in the 2.5-inch housing, NVMe.SSDs in M.2 format will also appear, but these do not have LEDs due to space restrictions.

According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the M.2 SSD T-Force Cardea II TUF Gaming Alliance is supposed to reach a speed of up to 3,000 MB/s when writing and 3,400 MB/s when reading. The IOPS for random 4K accesses are 450,000 for reading and 400,000 for writing. 512 GB and 1 TB capacity models are offered.

In addition, the Delta-S TUF Gaming Alliance RGB SSD, a model for older systems connected via SATA, will also be released. Transfer rates are limited by the outdated standard to 560 MB/s read and 510 MB/s write. A model with 512 GB and a model with 1 TB storage capacity are also available.

It is not yet known when the SSDs will come on the market and what prices Teamgroup will call up.
