Ninebot KickScooter C2 Pro E: e-scooter for children presented

Segway-Ninebot has introduced the Ninebot KickScooter C2 Pro E, a new e-scooter that is simply equipped and aimed at children. The target group is six to 14 years old – and weighs no more than 50 kilograms.

Basic equipment for the lightweight

The KickScooter C2 Pro E has only basic equipment that can by no means keep up with that of the current top models from Segway-Ninebot. However, this is quite intentional: Segway-Ninebot has wanted to create an e-scooter that is as light as possible and is located in the lower price range, making it suitable for children. The character of the new Ninebot’s equipment becomes particularly obvious when looking at the tires used. These are hollow inner tires, which are not known for high ride comfort. However, they do offer a few other very tangible advantages: they are puncture-proof and do not require maintenance. Ninebot does without a suspension, so the disadvantages of the tires cannot be compensated. This should be particularly noticeable on uneven surfaces. The scooter can be driven in three modes. It is IPX4 certified and thus protected against splashing water and dust.

The device is also equipped with a 108 Wh battery that allows a range of up to 17 kilometers. The specified maximum speed is 16 km/h. This makes the KickScooter C2 Pro E quite suitable for everyday use. The low weight of 10.7 kilograms, which is achieved by the spartan equipment, is also remarkable. Competitor models usually weigh considerably more.

However, the device is not a good choice for most older teenagers or adults. With its height and other construction, it is designed for people with a height between 1.15 meters and 1.70 meters who do not weigh more than 50 kilograms.

Underbody lighting and Bluetooth box

Segway-Ninebot tries to meet the demands of the target group with two special features that can be understood as extras: The new e-scooter has underbody lighting and an integrated Bluetooth box. This can be used to play music while driving via a cell phone carried on the scooter.

Price and availability

The KickScooter C2 Pro E can be pre-ordered now. It is scheduled to be delivered at the end of May/beginning of June. The price is 279 euros.
