Nokia C31 presented: Smartphone with 6.7-inch display and triple camera for under 120 euros
HMD Global has introduced a new budget smartphone, the Nokia C31, which has a lot to offer for the low price of less than 120 Euros. Among them are a 6.7-inch display, a triple camera and a 5,050 mAh battery.
Nokia C31: New budget smartphone in detail
HMD Global, the company behind the legendary Nokia brand, has unveiled a new budget smartphone, the Nokia C31. The unveiling has so far officially been for the Indian market only, however, the international product website is already online.
The C31 has quite a lot to offer at a comparatively low price. Equipment highlights include a 6.745-inch display in 20:9 format, which resolves in HD+ with 1,600 x 720 pixels, and a 5,050 mAh battery, which should last up to three days according to the manufacturer.
Due to the correspondingly low price, you can’t expect top hardware, of course. Thus, the C31 relies on a Unisoc SC9863A1 SoC with eight cores, four of which are clocked with 1.6 GHz and four with 1.2 GHz. They are supported by 4 gigabytes of working memory and 128 GB of system memory, whereby the latter can be expanded by up to 256 GB via microSD card.
Cameras and features
Otherwise, the Nokia C31 comes with Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and has a 3.5 mm jack, but charging is still done via micro-USB. Android 12 is used as the operating system.
In addition, there is a fingerprint sensor on the back and IP52 certification for protection against moisture. The camera setup turns out to be thoroughly decent. HMD Global combines a 13-megapixel main camera with a 2-MP macro lens and a 2-MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels. Google Camera is used as the camera app.

Price and availability
This quite decent equipment HMD Global lets itself cost with the Nokia C31 converted about 114 euros, the RRP for the Indian market is nevertheless at 9,999 Indian rupees. It is not yet clear when the C31 will be launched in Europe.
