Nothing Ear 1 Stick Leak Reveals Earbuds With New Design

In addition to Nothing’s first smartphone, for which all specs and pricing have since been leaked, the company is apparently working on a redesign of its in-ear headphones from last year. That’s according to a Nothing Ear 1 stick leak, which reveals a curious design.

Nothing Ear 1 Stick Leak: All the info

The Nothing Ear 1 are among the best in-ear headphones below the 100-euro mark, according to various tests. Without a doubt, though, they’re among the prettiest. Apparently, the company is planning a re-release to coincide with the launch of its own first smartphone this fall, according to a new Nothing Ear 1 stick leak.

The leak comes from the usually very reliable leaker stufflistings, who on Twitter shows a first image of the new in-ears. The design of the charging case is striking, as it appears to have a narrow, elongated shape.

The case is barely wider than the two Earbuds themselves and, as is now typical for Nothing, features a transparent design. Thus, the in-ear headphones can already be seen from the outside, which is accordingly adorned with a new inscription with “ear (1) STICK”.

If you compare the image with the previous Ear 1s, you will also notice other changes. Accordingly, the Nothing Ear 1 Stick apparently no longer rely on silicone earplugs. Apparently, one is oriented here to the Apple AirPods and positions the in-ears in front of the auditory canal and not in it.

Nothing Ear 1 Stick leaked on Amazon

Shortly after, the Nothing Ear 1 Stick were also briefly leaked on online retailer Amazon’s range. SnoopyTech was able to take a screenshot before the product website was taken offline again and shared it via Twitter.

The product description in particular provides information about the new Earbuds, which will be positioned on the market at a price of around 100 euros (which corresponds to the RRP of the original Ear 1).

According to the description, the Ear 1 Stick rely on Bluetooth 5.2, offer an AI-controlled bass function and actually come as “half in-ear” models, which proves the similarity to the AirPods. They are also said to offer IP54 certification.

The product description also talks about a low-latency mode for mobile gaming, as well as a battery life of 7 hours for the Earbuds alone and a total of 30 hours when combined with the charging case. Fast Charging is also supposed to be offered.

However, according to the Nothing Ear 1 Stick leak, the manufacturer apparently does without active noise cancellation (ANC), which seems understandable in view of the changed design.

As always, the leaks are of course to be taken with a grain of salt. However, it can be assumed that Nothing will present the new in-ear headphones to the public together with the Nothing Phone 1 on July 12, 2022. The presentation is scheduled to take place at 17:00 German time. More information is available on the event website of the manufacturer.
