The new Oscal S80 is an exciting and robust outdoor smartphone with a strong feature set. It has a 13,000 mAh strong battery, offers an Arcsoft camera and relies on the MediaTek Helio G85.

True to the motto “Only The Brave”, Oscal launches its new outdoor smartphone. The S60 is now followed by the Oscal S80, whose design was inspired by nature. The large, round camera in the center from the back is supposed to make it look like a penguin from a distance. The smartphone is offered in Mecha Orange, Navy Green and Conquest Black.

The robust design has a thickness of 18.9 millimeters and a weight of 460 grams. The smartphone relies on a 6.583-inch display that resolves in Full HD+ with 2,408 x 1,080 pixels in a 20:9 format. The display gets 480 nits bright and offers a pixel density of 400 ppi.

13,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging

A real equipment highlight of the Oscal S80 is the battery. This offers a capacity of an incredible 13,000 mAh, three times as much as ordinary smartphones. That’s enough power for 15 hours of gameplay of modern mobile games, 20 hours of live streaming and 70 hours of listening to music, making every trip a pleasure. Standby time is an impressive 1,152 hours.

Charging is particularly fast with 33 watts thanks to the Dual Electric Core technology. Charging from 0 to 51 percent takes only 66 minutes. Reverse charging is also offered, which allows you to power other devices with the S80.

Robust material

Of course, an outdoor smartphone like the Oscal S80 has to be able to withstand a lot. The manufacturer has made sure of that, too, as the device offers MIL-STD-810H, IP68 and IP69K certification and thus easily withstands bumps and drops or swimming trips. In 1.5 meters of water, the smartphone can even withstand 30 minutes.

ArcSoft camera with three sensors

The Oscal S80 offers exciting cameras, especially for an outdoor smartphone. Led by a 12-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX362), the lens comes with a 0.03-second autofocus and offers 10 fps continuous shooting for image series.

This is joined by an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels and a field of view of 117 degrees, which also offers a macro mode with a closest focusing distance of just 2 centimeters. Image quality is further enhanced thanks to ArcSoft’s advanced algorithms.

Among the features offered are a panorama mode, HDR, a night mode, an AI beauty mode, a portrait mode and much more. Videos can be recorded in 2K resolution at 30 fps, and an underwater mode is also supported.

Fast processor, high performance

Here, the outdoor smartphone Oscal S80 relies on a fast MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which has 6 GB of working memory and 4 GB of virtual RAM at its disposal to always ensure a fast working speed. 128 GB of internal storage offer space for photos and music, and this can be expanded by up to 1 TB via microSD card.

At the same time, effective Graphite cooling ensures that the smartphone stays pleasantly cool even under load. It can reduce the CPU’s temperature by up to 8 degrees Celsius. Doke OS 3.0 is used as the operating system, which is based on Android 12.
